Seems your wanting to compare apples to oranges! I'm just sayin I HIGHLY doubt any team other than bowling green, trinity, or male can hang with mayfield..and even then I don't see them hanging a score difference of 40+... now, that's just my opinion..but them 12 state titles (4 in a row) stand for something!

You mean, of course, hasn't played anyone except their opponents in the last 6 straight state championship games and 9 of the last 10, and having only suffered 7 losses (including playoffs and state title games) in the last 9 years. That kind of "haven't played anybody?"

Guess it all boils down to winning your last game each season and playing in December. No one gives out rings for what your schedule looks like.

Once NCC can beat Beechwood on a year in, year out basis, maybe then you can make your silly argument on Mayfield going 5 and 5 with the Breds schedule.

Where do you get we struggled against NCC? They are a good football team. Did you think we would light up the scoreboard against them? And if not, that means we struggled against them? Last year was the first year we moved back up into 2a and wasn't it like their 4th or 5th straight appearance in the championship game and we knock them off and beat them for the title. So let me ask you this. Since we don't play anybody shouldn't NCC have beat us since they play such a tough schedule???

 

And for you to say we historically haven't played anyone is jus plain hilarious! For you to say that jus proves to everybody you don't know anything about Mayfield.

I can think of some other names you should have used besides truth....you're far from it.

I think Mayfield is a great small school team. But I was quoting the guy saying only 3 teams could hang with Mayfield. I used NCC and their schedule as an example of a team that goes 5-5 and they hung with Mayfield. Mayfield is good on their level, but there's 25 teams that could "hang" with Mayfield. Highlands is 1-5 and I'm quite certain they could still "hang" with Mayfield. Get out and upgrade the schedule. Give Highlands a call, I'm sure they could work you in over the next few years.

Again......apparently you know nothing about Mayfield. Would it make you feel better if we only scheduled 6a schools?We live in far Western Kentucky. I'm sorry we don't have a lot of the big time schools here locally like they do up in Northen Kentucky. Guess we need to drive 6 plus hours to better our schedule. Also, why do you think we need to upgrade our schedule? If things unfold like we want them to we will be playing for our 5th state title in a row! We have been 7 years in a row winning 5 of them. I'm pretty certain our schedule has prepared us for the post season.

My point was there's more than 3 or 4 teams that can hang with Mayfield. I don't think that statement is being derogatory to Mayfield.

Mayfield historically plays a tough schedule. They play PT, McCracken, and graves.

 

They will travel as they have went and played Corbin the last 2 years. They use to go to Indiana and Tennessee to get games.

When was the last time Mayfield played a team with 8 D-1 players and two All-Americans?

You can't argue with some here. Mayfield has beaten NCC nearly as much as they have beaten Beechwood.
