September 18, 20169 yr I don't understand why someone didn't tell Marvin to thrown the challenge flag on the touchdown. Who knows, someone may have and it wouldn't surprise me if it was Marvin who vetoed it. Just look at his red flag history since becoming HC.
September 18, 20169 yr The college replay system gets it right WAY more often than the NFL and the NFL officials are supposed to be the best in the world. It's ridiculous.
September 18, 20169 yr The officials did not beat us. An ineffective red zone and poor field position did. We took Brown out of the game and held Williams better than I thought. We pressured Big Ben to being just average. The Steelers defense won the game. We didn't get any breaks, but rarely do on the road. I do not understand the Boyd being down called a fumble, but my guess is we will either get the No good look at the ball (which is unbelievable with eleventy million cameras) or on Monday we are sorry we missed it. AD had a rough game until the end when they went into prevent. They have to protect him better he is getting killed. He is one tough dude and not a quitter. He plays his butt off. It is what it is move on. I think you have listened to too many Marvin Lewis press conferences with how your post sounded here. No doubt there were other things in the football they could have done better. However that is why it's a 4 quarter game, because teams will have plays they make and don't make through out the game. The Bengals were not given their opportunity to see if they could at the end of the day make the plays they needed to win. The Bengals put themselves in a spot where they could still make plays to win it and a bad call prevented them from that opportunity. The nfl is great at making rule changes after the fact on plays that helped the steelers win in the past. The nfl is great at telling the Bengals were sorry we got that call wrong after the fact like Bryant's td last year in the playoffs. Which as you mentioned I am sure we will get a were sorry they missed that call and possibly even the first steelers td. The steelers get wins, while the nfl gives the Bengals apologies. It's very old!
September 18, 20169 yr Those officials should be suspended for that performance. I'm being dead serious too. Just ridiculous. Pete Morelli was so bad last year they replaced his entire crew. Disciplined twice for screwing up and pulled from a Sunday night game in Week 13 as punishment...
September 18, 20169 yr The missed call on the review was inexcusable, but the Bengals don't have anyone to blame but themselves for being in that position and probably lucky to have that chance in the first place. BR is just brutal with escaping would-be sacks and making long completions. Bengals put up a lot of yards on O but just never felt fluid. Too much reliance on RB and TE to catch passes.
September 18, 20169 yr Officials fault. OK. Glad there were no injuries for either team. Bengals didn't play all that well. Can't run at all through two weeks and dropped some critical balls to keep the chains moving. It can be a situation where they didn't play well enough to win and were also subject to a screw job by the stripes. At least 5 blatant holding calls missed, missed TD catch, blown fumble review. Those all happened even with the Bengals having an off day...

It's very old! As usual, you have this persona that only YOU know what is going on. I try and look at the game as a whole not ONE play, although it was a blown call. I do not believe they want the Steelers to win. I just think Morelli is a very weak official. That is whining which is what it sounds like you are doing. Man up, take the defeat and MOVE ON.

Harrison taken to the ground when he got the edge and Dalton ends up scrambling. Goes both ways. You want to look for an excuse, getting 3 pts from 1st and goal from the 1 would be where I'd start. It's just a typical ugly Steeler/Bengal game. It's the way they always are. They're not pretty, ever.

September 18, 20169 yr The 1st and goal from the 1 where they scored a TD but the refs called it incomplete? That one? Yes, let's start there... Does your coach get a red flag or did Morelli take it from him?
September 18, 20169 yr Does your coach get a red flag or did Morelli take it from him? Are we going to get in to replay being an effective tool after what just happened??? :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:
September 18, 20169 yr The 1st and goal from the 1 where they scored a TD but the refs called it incomplete? That one? Yes, let's start there... Speaking of that, did anyone else notice they spotted the ball at the 2 yard line on that first down play?
September 18, 20169 yr Are we going to get in to replay being an effective tool after what just happened??? :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: No, we are getting flooded with tears, that's what we are getting into. And it's kinda funny that you're contributing to the fountain. But it's whatever, at least this isn't a UC/Xavier debate.
