Holy Cross/Simon Kenton predictions

Yes it is at Holmes but the start time is 7:00. I don't know if it is the city of Covington or Holmes but one of them mandates a 7:00 start time. As for the game I agree this would definetly be the biggest upset yet for HC, they struggled with Bishop last year. This game win lose or draw for HC will help down the road, SK has size depth and a very balanced offense that will help prepare them for the 2 class A big boys.

You all crack me up, your all caught up with how many AAAAAAAAAAAAA's there are behind a school's name. You can only put 11 on the field at a time. And who ever is the best prepared wins. HC won both games because they were more disaplined and better conditioned, that is the long and short of it. I dont know where Holmes came up with that offence, where you have three guy's running aroud the backfield like there crasy. But if they had just a bit of disaplin, with all that speed they win. But anyway, the # of A's behind your name dos'nt mean a win.

I hope you didn't get your spelling skills at Holy Cross.....

Spoken in true Kentucky dialect.

As for the game, I see SK having to much power for Holy Cross.

Not much in predicting scores, but this would be the biggest upset HC would have to date if they pull this one out.

HC was pretty effective in the second half by running between the guards. I don't think they will find it as easy this week. SK has more true size on the lines than any of the previous opponents for HC.

SK has a more punishing offense that Holmes does and have two backs that will bring the wood, and probably have the toughest runner in the area in Bishop.

SK will have more balance than Holmes did between throwing the football and running it. So HC will not be able to stack the box like they did the other night.

On the flip side SK now has to gameplan for Penny who will likely see more action from the get go this week.

Should make for an interesting ball game.

Bishop is a tank. Its funny to watch him just barrell over people and keep going, but don't forget about Haught. He is one of the tougher runners in NKY as well.

I wont predict a score but i'll say the starters will be out sometime in the thrid quarter

Simon Kenton 27-13.

I've seen them both play and I have to go with SK by 14...

I think that's close to what you would be able to make a fictional bet on this game this week. At least that's what I've heard.:D

HC won because Holmes doesn't have a kicker! Isn't there a soccer player at Holmes that wants to take a shot at it?

Jeff Hughes is the only decent kicker that Holmes has had in the past ten years.

SK rolls 38- 12 in this one. Bishop has over 100 yds and 3 td's.

Wasn't Tim Sullivan decent?

Holmes must have came up with that offense the same place that Colerain and Indy Warren Central came up with it. Its called the modified wing T. It gives you the triple option, with a four vert and a screen threat. Georgetown and Morehead also do pretty well with it.

Mike Rabe was pretty good too.

I think SK will win this one but you have to watch out for Holy Cross they are a fighting team that just does not give up on anything. Even though I think SK will win if I see that Holy Cross beats them it wouldnt be a shocker to me they fight till the end.
