Colonels still got a lot to work on, but they are winning close games which is something that hopefully pays off down the road. I did expect them to be 3-1 at this point.

Obviously I meant that I did NOT expect them to be 3-1 at this point.

I actually picked this one.

Congrats

Two CCH TDs called back, one a terrible call...believe the better team won

CCH moves to 3-0 in home night games decided on the final play.

CCH D had something to do with those failures of LCHS to score inside the ten. LCHS has a good team and scheme and they will do well. CCH played flat and still pulled out a win.

From the Lexington Herald-Leader:

Lexington Catholic football drops heartbreaker to Covington Catholic

With Lexington Catholic trailing 21-14 on the road, Knights quarterback Kirk Fagot fired his third touchdown pass of the night, a 22-yard strike to Nathan Schnurr with 13 seconds left in the game. But the extra-point attempt failed and Covington Catholic recovered the ensuing onside kick to saddle Catholic with its third straight loss, 21-20.

The Colonels took an early lead on an 80-yard interception return by Kameron Butler in the first quarter. But Lexington Catholic (1-3) scored 14 unanswered points on two Fagot touchdown passes to move in front. Covington Catholic (3-1) went ahead 21-14 after touchdown runs from Casey McGinness and Anthony Best.

Huge CovCath crowd, great win, fun night, under the lights on a warm and muggy Friday night in Park Hills, what more could one ask for............Well....... that will come next year with CovCath 50th year of Varsity Football and a new Stadium.

Get there early for next Friday night game vs. Beechwood.....it will be packed on both side of Wooten Field.

^^Good to hear from you.

Don't be a stranger!!!!

No question CCH dodged a couple bullets. BUT, so did LCHS. Good luck the rest of the way.

Thanks for the additional Tog

Have not had the chance to see CovCath play this season but I have watched their freshman. I have a question: Why in the world is #10 on the freshman team playing some varsity? That kid is a stud! Lol he has a varsity body already!!!!
