The First NKY Top 10 Fan Poll

Featured Replies

Yea! Holy Cross has 8 whole years of storied tradition. Come on. The whole 6 class thing was caused by smaller programs in 4A (none the less ) saying they needed more parity in school size to make it fair. Then the 4A schools go out and get whipped by much smaller schools. This just proves that size doesn't matter:D . It all comes down to who wants it. Who is going to work harder in the weight room, 2adays and preparation. The 4A programs in NKY should be ashamed of themselves.

What makes you think you're worthy of bashing everyone else's top 10, without making one of your own?

I would rather just be a butt than add any meat to the real discussion. :D

 The old "quit crying " response when you got nothing better to come up with. Let me assure you that no one is crying whatsoever. The win at any cost attitude just isn't that important to a great many of us..:ylsuper: :walk:

Zig..I dont think its a win at any cost.... its not like Mueller and Rash (formerly Yeagle) were going out looking for kids. If a kid wants to play for a great program with years of tradition and they think they have a better chance at an athletic scholarship then so be it. You cant blame kids like Lorenzen, RobbSmith, Derrick smith, Mitchell and Nevels....to just name a few for wanting to better there chances at D1 scholarships. Here is my top 10.

I went through 4 years of high school and I've seen kids absolutely work their but off, and bleed for the good of the program. Then when game time came they maybe saw some special teams. I have seen some lazy kids be all stars, its about the level of talent coming in, sir. The truth is talent comes before work in high school. And to make the comment that certain programs work harder than others is true in some cases, but to make a broad generalization like that is idiotic. A program has several D1 recruits will most likely beat a team with zero D1 recruist most of the time. You CANNOT question the other teams heart as blindly as you have.

What you just stated is more excuses.........come on. :irked:

No. An excuse would be me saying that the 1A schools recruit, and they steal players away. But i gave credit to the 1A schools tradition, and the fact that they are simply better than some 4A schools. An excuse??? i think not.....

I've got plenty of people that will tell you from first hand experience that this is absolutely wrong but that's for another thread. Mueller is a great football coach, no doubt, but I won't even begin to agree with this. But I will agree that winning does attract the athletes.

:thumb: I will agree with you..

Come down to Fort Thomas on Sept 16 and watch the Junior Football league and see the future bluebirds. making accusations that coaches go out looking for players to bring in is bush.

Mueller is great with the kids and is such a positive force in not only the jr. league but also the community that the league is starting to get kids from around NKY wanting to actually play for a youth league that gurantees playing time and development, unlike other leagues that only care about playing 12 kids and winning a "Super Bowl"... (another thread right? )

:thumb: I will agree that Ft Thomas does an excellent job with their youth league and it is far superior to the NKYFL IMO.

There's no doubt in my mind that Mueller is great with kids and that league puts out a solid number of great Bluebirds. But saying my previous thread is an

"accusation" is wrong. It's not bush for me to present facts.
