The First NKY Top 10 Fan Poll

Wow, i can't believe you are actually making comments like this. The 1A schools in northern kentucky have decades of tradition that the 4A schools can't compare to. It is not common to have a player from Sk's or Dixie's or Scott's disctict to transfer to a 1A school just to play football. Sure the 4A schools have more boys but the amount of actual atheletes they have to choose from is far fewer than some of the 1A schools. Quality over quantity my friend, quality over quantity....

I think you make a good point, NKY AAAA consists of teams that lack tradition aside from Boone County over the years and Dixie, whose been a solid program since Spritzky took over a decade ago. Campbell has had one exceptional season in the past 13 years (94 gave BC a run for their $$$), Holmes has had some athletes but they haven't had a real good team since '91 (James "Purple" Hayes' bunch). SK is on the upswing recently, you're tallking about a program that lost 23 straight games as recently as '97. Scott, I don't know where to go with this one, they usually fight us till the end but we all know about how bad they've been for quite some time, last time they sniffed the playoffs was in '90, that's a very long time. Ryle is the team everyone is waiting for to make their mark but we may be waiting for a while if a fourth BC school is created. Conner had two great regular seasons back to back, many believe they had a soft schedule and they were bounced in round one in back to back years. Tradition is HUGE, winning breeds winning, and if you don't believe it you need to wake up. Should a school the size of Dixie lose to a school the size of Bwood, it wouldn't suprise me since it's Bwood but I agree they shouldn't be wiped off the field by the Tigers. Hopefully it changes (at least from my side), I hope we don't lose players to the likes of Bwood (Daniels), or HHS (Nevels, Hubbard), I hope we can keep these types of talents in Independence, could care less about the others.:D

What makes all of you think Newport isn't worthy of being a top 10 team?

What makes you think you're worthy of bashing everyone else's top 10, without making one of your own?

OB - tough call on that one . I'm not convinced they have enough weapons this year to beat any of the other teams in front of them - including some teams that have started off poorly. Solid showing against NC. They're on the "wait and see" list.

I guess Ft. Mitchell and Ft. Thomas just breed athletes..I'd like to think on those terms but that's just not realistic..Change the attitudes and quite making excuses and things might change at these 4A schools..:thumb: Italian Stallion

;) I would agree provided it is one or two. I mean it has never helped in the past has it? Lorenzen, Smith, Mitchell, those guys didn't help much did they. Oops Sorry I need to correct myself. You guys were 2-13 with Mitchell weren't you.:ylsuper: :D

My argument is this.....Quite crying and do something about it. Start showing you care and the kids that should be playing at those schools would stay...I don't blame anybody for trying to better their situation. Whether it is on the field or in the class room..If their community doesn't care why would those kids want to stay..Bottom line quite belly aching and start showing you care...

 The old "quit crying " response when you got nothing better to come up with. Let me assure you that no one is crying whatsoever. The win at any cost attitude just isn't that important to a great many of us..:ylsuper: :walk:

Yea! Holy Cross has 8 whole years of storied tradition. Come on. The whole 6 class thing was caused by smaller programs in 4A (none the less ) saying they needed more parity in school size to make it fair. Then the 4A schools go out and get whipped by much smaller schools. This just proves that size doesn't matter:D . It all comes down to who wants it. Who is going to work harder in the weight room, 2adays and preparation. The 4A programs in NKY should be ashamed of themselves.
