August 30, 201610 yr Author I hope they strike , and it last forever . Wouldnt bother me a bit . Definitely have to bring in the scabs when they do strike and make the games count. This will incentivize everyone to get a fair deal done.
August 30, 201610 yr I don't know about anyone else but I am not paying attention to him as far as the issue is concerned. Wrong guy, wrong place, wrong time... What I am interested in is how he plays and if he gets cut. And if he gets cut does he blaming getting cut on... Catch 22. He was on his way out via trade or being released. From the business side of things a team has to decide if he is worth the risk to have him on their roster. Directly or indirectly it will affect his NFL career. Much like with Tebow. Is the side show worth the headache?

Oh, and Tebow got an invite to play some Winter Ball and I certainly hope he does it. You know, put up or shut up.

A guy who was unseated, if you'll excuse the terminology, by Blaine Gabbert, probably isn't. Two seasons ago, SF loads up on Aleve and weathers the storm.
August 30, 201610 yr The players definitely need to strike. The current deal is lopsided in favor of the owners/NFL. How so? And don't say Roger has too much power. His power of judge/jury/executioner affects such a small percentage of the players they would be idiots to make their stand on that topic. They are all making money hand over fist. Why rock that boat.

Why rock that boat. Lots of reasons that I really don't want to get into because they are all negatives from where I sit and I want to enjoy the start of football season.
August 31, 201610 yr Sure wish he had as many threads started due to his on field performance. He's getting Tebowish.

September 2, 201610 yr NFL Network will show Kap sitting during the anthem tonight in the 49ers last preseason game.
September 11, 201610 yr One of the most-discussed moments of Week One of the NFL season will be the national anthem before the Monday night 49ers-Rams game, when Colin Kaepernick is expected to continue his protest and remain seated while other players are standing. But that moment won’t be televised. ESPN told Richard Deitsch of Sports Illustrated that it normally does not show the national anthem for the late game of the Week One Monday Night Football doubleheader and won’t show it this year either. That decision is a mistake. Just because the national anthem isn’t ordinarily shown doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be shown when there are extenuating circumstances, and in this case there are certainly extenuating circumstances. Telling the story of that game will include showing Kaepernick, showing the other players, and covering any reaction Kaepernick gets from the fans, positive or negative. Kaepernick’s stance has thrust the national anthem into the national news. ESPN should allow viewers to see that news being made. ESPN won’t show national anthem before 49ers game | ProFootballTalk I love their decision not to show it. I actually like the idea of if any player wishes to protest the national Anthem then they should stay in the locker room until after it's played. If I were the commish that is what I would make them do.
September 11, 201610 yr So you all want transparency. Hahahaha hahahaha They must have learned it from some agency.
September 12, 201610 yr ESPN should ignore stupidity. Remember, though, this is the network that still gives Chris Berman a microphone each week.
