Boyle County showed a lot of promise. They fought hard against a strong experienced 6A school who some consider the #2 or #3 team in the state. Also, for anyone who didn't know, Walker Wood is a talented athlete.

That's good to hear! We all know it could have been much worse. That catch along the sideline that he scored on was just a tease of what's to come for the next 3+ years!!

Boyle was simply overmatched tonight. Lafayette has a really nice team. Walker Wood is a flat-out great athlete. Jedrick Will has great footwork for his size, and other than taking some plays off, I give him 2 thumbs up.

 

My worst fears were realized not only with the loss, but the injury to Reese Smith. Prayers go out to him and his family for a speedy recovery.

 

Now my 0-2 Rebels gotta get nasty as they prepare for 2-0 Danville. Gut check time for the Big Rebel Nation.

Sorry, but I don't think the Rebels are big on moral victories, especially given the margin of this one. This start is not something they or Smith are used to.

Maybe, maybe not but they are also realistic and I imagine they have seen some positives in the last two games that they will build on.

This kid really lives up to the hype. Really good ball skills. The play he scored on was a really good catch, never mind the speed he showed getting it to the end zone. Hope the tests are negative for any further damage!

My MRI results weren't good. I'm hoping he has better luck than me. I hate to see a kid get injured, especially early in the season
