St. X 47 Lexington Catholic 0

It feels really good to know St. X is 2 -0. It feels even better to know the rocks are 0 - 1........ Just breath deep, everything will be OK....

Keep hanging your hat on that! and TRINITY will be fine, just like the State Championship Game in 2005 vs. st.x. Sweet justice!!:thumb:

And you keep telling yourself Last Game. We'll keep laughing.

The Rocks fans keep telling X supporters to let it go but they cant seem to follow their own advice? :p

Well...I saw him play as a freshman and as a JV and wrote him off each time. I saw him last September against X and wrote him off. But in December he was a world beater. I would not write him off just yet.

You are a wise man.

Which team has a tee-shirt marking a loss?

Which teams Head Coach said on numerous TV Sports interviews that "st.x was the best team last year" and along with the tee shirts saying "last game" ? or something to that effect. While I`m on that subject, where can the TRINITY fans get those tee shirts or hoodies that your coach made up last year showing st.,x as the State Champions before they even played the GAME??

Also, which teams fans has taken stabs and have put down the National Sports Publications Polls showing TRINITY #1 in Ky. or 16th in the Nation etc. ? The answer is st.x and their friendly fans!!

What about shaun Alexander?? He was the same way in HS... I attended a gm his senior year when they played Campbell Co. and he put up similar #'s as I recall.

Of course...I'm sure Alexander was amazing. I just never saw him play in high school.

The pebbles preseason hoopla has taken a big hit with their scrimmage performances against Scott Co. and Lexington Catholic, plus their loss at home last night to MBA. It should be obvious to you now how little the National Polls know. It's time to give up the smack and lay under the wee-weeds for a while until the team's performance catches up to your dilusional fantasy. :p

Now, let's get back to discussing the thread topic, X's performance against the Knights, and avoid the landfill gang's normal persistant attempts to disrupt the proceedings. Personally, other than the extra point performance, I think the Tigers improved tremendously. We're going to need this continued improvement to stay up with Male and PRP in the district.

:thumb: I agree....Male is the team to beat with PRP right there too. It was nice to see that X has good team speed...that will be vital against a very fast Male team.

The lack of goal posts to practice field showed......I'll come out and build some....I wonder if that would get me a tuition reduction....:D

Just to set the record straight, it was riveroftears that brought out his poor attempt to attack Nick Petrino (which was completely off topic). Every post by a Trinity supporter in this thread had been very congratulatory until this classless post:

I can remember just a few short weeks ago someone in the rock club said that they thought there would be a QB controversy at St. X this year between Wade and Zoller.....!! Well, after Friday night and last night, looks as if the controversy will be at trinity.... Petrino three INT's......against MBA. This kid was the mvp of the 4a state game last year. Threw three INT's all of last year.... Not to good a showing for a mr. football candidate.

Well anyways,

It was good to see X come back great and I hope Trinity does the same next week. I think the QB situation for X is sloved

X - express gaining speed early. Nice showing vs. our catholic friends to the east! Stay focused guys and once you make a comittment don't decide you want to look at other options!

Like I said... Ox.

Before I forget to do it...G-R-R-E-A-T call, Run First...you nailed it! :thumb:

And last year was dilusionary as well? would my comments and support for TRINITY be dilusionary if I was a st.x fan and my team was being picked by National Sports Publications?? I say a big fat heck NO!!! I look at all of the Threads and Posts so far this year that has anything to do with TRINITY being picked by the Polls and all of the st.x fans get ugly!!! You guys and your coach can`t get over the big lose from last year. I LOVE IT!!!!:dancingpa

Below is a post found on another message board. I enjoyed it so, I thought I would share it.

Re: Vic Anderson...WOW! ------

I went to the St X game last night, and this kid is for real. Everytime he touches the ball, the crowd jumps to its feet. I've never really seen anything like that out of a HS kid. There's really no build-up to get to full speed... he gets hit, loses his stride, and is back at full speed in 2 steps. He was VERY impressive, far "out-athleticisizing" (if I may) every player on the field with a variety of spin moves, jukes, stiff arms, etc, and his speed is outstanding... Being a St X alum, I usually try to make it to the Trinity game plus one other one at Manual Stadium, but (now) I plan on going to every St X game that I'll be in town for this year.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to say he's the next Reggie Bush (LexCath's defense was admittedly very weak), but he has a similar running style and that same ability to electrify the crowd every single time he touches the ball. If you get a chance to see him, you should take advantage of it and go.

Finch (the "other RB") got a couple touches last night, and he looked great too, but I wouldn't say he's better than VA. Not a stretch to say he may be better than VA was at a similar stage, but man for man, he's not as good... yet.

Thanks, I enjoyed that , too. :ylsuper:
