".... Louisville Metro Police Department, who made it clear they did not want anyone to lose their job over this incident."

I would not care of their desires, the employee(s) would be immediately terminated if I was the manager.

What is wrong with people?:irked:

Fire them all and start over

They're going to be "retrained"? I think it more appropriate that they be "replaced".

Not a chance they keep their jobs if I'm the manager there. I say fire the manager if he/she doesn't get rid of them.

There's no amount of training that should be needed to be respectful to authorities. You can't teach common sense.

I'm guessing the next "late night drunken customer acting like a fool" call is going to get a similar response.....

I agree in that's what should happen, but they can't do it.

They do something like that and something tragic ends up happening and it's a massive lawsuit/heads roll.

Actually deny police--get "retrained"

Hypothetically deny a gay wedding--have your business destroyed.

You can't give someone sense and decency through retraining. If I owned this restaurant, the last thing they would see would be my hands tossing them into the parking lot and slamming the door. If they didn't leave, I'd call police and report them as trespassing.

This is a management decision (and a poor one IMO).

The other you bring up is a consumer driven result.

So when will the picket lines and protests start? I'm doing my best not to bring politics into this but to say that the businesses that were trashed because of a hypothetical stand they took wasn't influenced by an agenda is just wrong.

So when will the picket lines and protests start?

What are you asking me for?

I'm simply pointing out the pretty large differences in the situations you're trying to compare.

And I'm pointing out they are not as different as you would like to believe.
