Hard to believe. Holmes is much bigger than Ryle. I think the 3 in 3000 was supposed to be a 5?

Ryle's seating may be 3,000, but they allow people to stand around the railings. I think they can fit around 4,000 in the gym...

These figures must be wrong. There is no way Conner holds 3600.

I would think these numbers would be official since they are listed on KHSAA's

website. I know when Ryle played CCH in the region finals at Conner,when

Doellman was a senior, they sold over 4000 tickets at the gate.

That was '02, and Doellman was a junior then. But, point taken.

There could have been a mistake at the school level or at the KHSAA.

 

Conner does not got up as high or as wide as Holmes seating does.

 

Anyone that has been at Conner and Holmes would be able to tell the difference in seating.

If NKY reaches to Maysville then Cov Cath is no match for the Fieldhouse in any of thse 3 categories. Never been to Ryle so I cant say its not a better facility

No way Conner is bigger than Holmes, and I agree with the upper level seating at Ryle, very poor design.

Holmes. They have plenty of seating and the staff does a great job of keeping people where they belong. (i.e. No one is on the playing floor area unless they are playing, coaching, officiating, or working in the media.)

Really? Covington Catholic was listed as a top 20 place in the nation to watch a high school basketball game, in a 2004 article by USA Today. And if you've been to CCH's gym, you'll know it's not because of the building itself.

I think we all know the main reason why Cov Cath got that honor.(the fans) When it comes to the actual gym itself, Cov Cath doesnt come close to what Mason County has to offer. Mason County has that old fashioned gym that still looks and feels much better than any new gym that I have ever been in. True testament to whoever designed and built The Fieldhouse.

No one is trying to argue that CCH has the best gym building in the area, even with the additions. It was simply said that CCH is no match for the noise, entertainment, and atmosphere of Mason County.

 

MC may be rocking come March... but CCH is rocking all year long, which separates them from the rest of the state.

Crossbar, the simple fact is, CovCath can't equal the Fieldhouse when REGIONAL TIME comes along. If CovCath had a court like Mason Co had, they would never fill it(Regular season). It would be comparable to Ryle's court, seats a bunch, but looks like noone is there. Yes would it get packed during regional time (just like the Fieldhouse), yes. But the Fieldhouse prints magazines, and news papers and media are all focused around the tenth. I'm telling you, the Ninth Region could learn something from the 10th Region, basketball wise.:sssh:

I'm not disagreeing with your post, but what do you mean the fieldhouse prints magazines? What newspapers or media are in the 10th region?
