Given HS kids these days and their phones, I'm going to say keeping that secret would be more difficult nowadays. Back in yours and my day all we had was the rumor mill. Kids today would rather brag about it on Twitter/Snapchat/Whatever, because that's what they do.

But not to the extent it happens today, not even close in my opinion. As I have said in a couple of other threads, young women today are many times the sexual aggressors and can and do pursue just as hard as any man can/has/does. And most teenage boys high on testosterone and ready to stick "it" in anything that moves isn't about to turn down teacher, especially when young and even semi attractive.

I just don't think it needs to be a legal issue if a 16 and a 27 year old have consensual sex IF SHE IS NO LONGER THEIR TEACHER. I am a huge critic of the black and white statutory rape laws and contend they have unnecessarily ruined a lot of lives.
