If you ever get a chance and are in Louisville, swing by the Silver Dollar on Frankfort Ave and grab their barbecue sandwich. It's divine.

I will make note of that. I'm not in Louisville that often these days, but I will certainly make it a point to visit the silver dollar next time I am there.

Goetta, fried potatoes, eggs over easy and biscuits, throw in some bacon

Fried boloney sandwich and chips

Fried chicken, Cole slaw, mashed potatoes and hush puppies

Pecan pie with vanilla ice cream

Gotta quit reading this thread, I'm hungry again.

In a perfect day, when calories, cholesterol, or heart attacks do not matter....

Breakfast: My new favorite; an Izzys breakfast burrito. Take out, so I can be in my pajamas, preferably picked up by Mr. BWF.

Lunch: Skyline. Picked up by by one of my children, because I am paying. Then I can stay in my pajamas.

Dinner: Larosas. Traditional crust, extra sauce, extra cheese. Delivered, so I can stay in my pajamas.

I am not going to lie. I have actually done this once. I might add, there was a Law and Order marathon going on. Perfect Sunday!

I think you're the first to bring goetta into the equation. I might have to shake things up with my breakfast.

Breakfast:

A nice thick slab of goetta, fried up so the outside is crispy and the inside still a little soft.

Fried potatoes with a little rosemary, cracked pepper and Maldon salt.

Two of my dad’s soft-boiled eggs. Nobody can soft-boil eggs as perfectly as he can.

A couple pieces of whole wheat toast with butter and a spoonful of mom’s nectarine preserves.

1 small glass or orange juice, and 1 mug of hot black tea.

Lunch:

2 or 3 boudin balls from Ralph’s On The Park in New Orleans.

My mother-in-law’s Italian grilled chicken. It’s simple, but she absolutely nails it.

A couple of heaping scoops of red skin potato salad from the Wyoming Meat Market in Wyoming, OH.

Green beans from Rima’s Diner.

An ice cold Cheerwine.

Dinner:

Crab cakes from Faidley’s in Baltimore.

Iceberg wedge salad with blue cheese.

14 oz. New York Strip from Jeff Ruby’s.

A loaded baked potato.

My wife’s broiled parmesan asparagus.

2 or 3 tall glasses of iced tea – don’t hold back on the ice.

A slice of Magee’s transparent pie and a scoop of Graeter’s double chocolate chip ice cream.

Drinks:

Two Hofbrau dunkels…tall.

1 order of Molly Malone’s fried pickels. They’re hand-beer battered and fantastic.

1 order of wings from Frankfort Avenue Beer Depot.

My perfect day, if I could eat what I absolutely wanted with no fear of general health or gastrointestinal repercussions ...

Breakfast - Mrs. S's sausage biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs over easy, a side of bacon, and a bowl of grits saturated with butter and covered with black pepper.

Lunch - 1 lb cut from a roll of Fisher's Bologna, a pile of green onions (fresh from the garden), and a gallon of milk.

Supper - Mrs. S's Chili-Mac, all I could eat until I passed out.

If I did that, I'd be dead the next morning. However, next to dying while having sex, I can't think of a better way to go.

I eat six or seven meals a day.

Just some variety but always low in fat.

Country ham and cheese omelette

Brisket sandwich fries and slaw

Filet mushrooms broccoli
