The only reason I'm not more upset is now the matchup will be KD and Steph/LeBron and Kyrie in the Finals. How can I be mad at that?

July 4, 201610 yr Shocked he left Russ hanging like this. Maybe Westbrook let him know he's not staying next year and KD just decided to bolt now. Maybe they didn't have that great of a relationship? OKC might want that Ibaka trade back now. KD and Russ were hanging out in LA early last week.

They will be villains and they will get everyone's best shot every night. The OKC/GS games will be off the chain. I also like super teams and the stories they bring. If the Cavs repeat doesn't that move Lebron closer to GOAT status? Beating arguably the greatest starting 5 ever......

A team where everyone has a green light to shoot. A team that now has KD to make all the shots that Harrison Barnes used to miss? They'll be fine.
July 4, 201610 yr KD taking a lot of heat on social media for this move and things he had to say way back when LeBron did it to Cleveland. Will be interesting to hear Stephen A tommorrow. If his objective was a championship, would have rather he taken the route of joining either the Knicks or the Celtics to try and beat Cleveland and then Golden State. Is this a one year thing?, will Steph and Thompson be able to leave after this coming year.? I could see some kind of combination of players eventually joining the Lakers in the coming years, as well as the Knicks.
July 4, 201610 yr KD will only score 22ppg at most. The Warriors probably wont beat their last season record. But that wont mean they wont be better. Meanwhile Russ will do 40-10-10 every game.

July 4, 201610 yr Stephen A. is right.. Bandwagon move.. Thunder were better than the Warriors. Huh? Thunder were better than the Warriors? Warriors have been in the last two finals winning one and coming within one game of going back to back AND having the best regular season ever last year. The Thunder came very close to beating GS in the playoffs but did not. No way you can say they are better. Finished behind GS in the regular season and in the playoffs the last two years. SAS is killing Durant not for leaving BUT for going to GS. If I am Durant, I tell anyone criticizing him to stick it. He has earned the right to go where he wants. He is a great player and by all account a good dude. He likes the guys on GS, gets to play for Kerr, who by all accounts is a very good coach and gets to play for a very good organization and a team that will be moving to a new arena. He has been in the league 9 years with OKC and has won exactly zero rings. I don't blame him a bit for going to GS. I wish he would have went to the Celtics though!
