Two totally different things. One left a hopeless situation. One left a legit contender to join a rival. Even with Cleveland's great records they weren't better than the Lakers or Celtics. Or Magic, Mavs, Spurs, etc. OKC could have conceivably won next years title. Big difference. Imagine if Bron and Wade we're drafted to the same team and LeBron had left to join the Lakers. That's what this is, except the Warriors are better than the 08-10 Lakers IMO. It's weak. Even weaker that he criticized others for doing it.

That Nets pick has a crap ton of value given how bad they will be and the loaded field for the next draft. At worst a top 5 pick with 7-10 guys good enough to go in that range. They would get his bird rights and be able to offer more than anyone else. Boston has the assets to do this. This is the reason you stockpiled picks, now they just need to make it happen. Can the Thunder really lose Durant and Russ and get nothing in return? I think they have to make the trade.

They lost to the Warriors. Getting to the finals and losing (LeBron's 1st stint in CLE) is better than losing in the conference finals (KD). Just because OKC SHOULD have beaten GS this year doesn't mean they were going to next year. It's only weaker because you dislike Golden State/KD.

One could easily make the argument KD WAS the entire foundation of that franchise. He was the alpha dog when they left Seattle, and has been "their" star from day 1. That said, the backlash is just as hilarious as Bron leaving for Miami. Get your hands out of a grown mans pockets and enjoy the ride. KD wasn't as hopeless in OKC as Lebron was with that Cleveland team. It took the Cavs sucking horribly and getting Kyrie and Wiggins with the first picks to even bring him back home. KD was on a team that was 48 minutes away from dethroning the champs and instead of coming back to try again he left for the team that beat him. Had Lebron left the Cavs and joined the Spurs then it would be the same. That all being said I was supportive of Lebron going to Miami and I am supportive of KD going to GS. Both moves made sense. And what KD said 6 years ago means nothing today.
