June 30, 201610 yr I have no problem with questioning. Didn't the Orlando shooter's wife know about the attack? Getting information is different, but punishing a family for the crime seems mind bottling (Blades of Glory reference). I have no issue with interrogating or questioning them. However, the idea of holding them accountable is just absurd IMO.
June 30, 201610 yr What happened to your mantra that "we must try something?" This is something. More gun laws NEVER work at stopping terrorists, yet you continue to propose THEM. Why not try Pioneer Pride's suggestion. After all "we must try something." You're advocating that we, as a nation, start holding family members equally responsible for crimes that are committed by other family members? Mind numbing, isn't it? I mean...seriously.

Nothing could be more anti-American than that.

Why not try Pioneer Pride's suggestion. After all "we must try something." So your cousin gets arrested for theft. You're cool with your aunt being held responsible? What sense does that make? And what new gun laws do I keep PROPOSING? Show me where I've proposed any laws in here? See I can bold and capitalize letters too. Now, if you want to actually discuss the merits of his proposed law, I'm all for doing so, but we both know you aren't interested in that. Just keep CAPITALIZING and bolding words...
June 30, 201610 yr I said we need to try something and to look for solutions. You responded with some smart butt remark about the ACA. Seemed pretty evident that you aren't really interested in looking for answers. It wasn't a smart butt remark. It was pretty spot on, what you said is what was said about healthcare and just doing "something" for the sake of just doing something is a poor way to do things. People, me included, have given our thoughts on what we feel would help. You know this.
June 30, 201610 yr You're advocating that we, as a nation, start holding family members equally responsible for crimes that are committed by other family members? No, not crimes, acts of war. ISIS is a nation-state. They are at war with us. Our leadership is to busy concerning itself with promoting globalism to be concern with acknowledging our enemy.
June 30, 201610 yr No, not crimes, acts of war. ISIS is a nation-state. They are at war with us. Our leadership is to busy concerning itself with promoting globalism to be concern with acknowledging our enemy. I'd think that would accomplish nothing more than turning more people against the US. If my brother goes out and blows up a building, why should I, as a law-abiding American citizen be held responsible? Like what's the logical reasoning behind that?
June 30, 201610 yr I don't want to be responsible for what family members, friends and those of my religion do. Nothing could be more anti-American than that. I hear ya. Reminds me how some on this board think gun manufacturers should be punished because some little coward misues a gun.
June 30, 201610 yr I hear ya. Reminds me how some on this board think gun manufacturers should be punished because some little coward misues a gun. Correct.
June 30, 201610 yr It now looks like those involved are from Russia, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. We don't hear about many attacks on Russia, I wonder why? I wouldn't be surprised if Kadyrov wasn't involved somehow.
June 30, 201610 yr Isn't it North Korea that has prison camps that imprison 3 generations? A fine model to follow.
June 30, 201610 yr That's a pretty absolute statement that new laws will never stop mass shooters. If it were that easy wouldn't Turkey have these everyday being about 12 hours from ISiS territory. I believe that both sides could come up with some answers that would make it difficult for terrorists (domestic and foreign). Both sides seem to want to avoid compromise and the safety of our citizens hang in the balance. The evidence overwhelmingly shows that tougher gun laws will not stop mass murders. You can't legislate sanity or even moral decency. The answer to stopping mass murders will not come from gun laws. If you have any proof that it will I'd sure like to hear it!

The liberals like to cite the reduction of GUN violence in Australia from Gun Control measures. Of coarse, those "studies" never account for the increase of violence from the use of other weapons, of the increase of victims from home invasions because they are unable to defend themselves!

We talked about that on another thread. Violent crime is down in Australia. Sorry.
July 1, 201610 yr We talked about that on another thread. Violent crime is down in Australia. Sorry. Educate me on why anti gun people continue to live in a country where they don't support the constitution/founding fathers rules?
