MLB Trade Deadline Tracker - 2016 Edition

If the Reds trade DeSclafani for prospects still a year or two away, it is a statement they don't expect to win/contend for at least 3 more years.

What made you think they planned to contend at any point to begin with. The only thing this ownership wants to contend for is your dollars.

I'd say 2019 is more realistic. The Reds do not have the required position players in the pipeline to be a contender by 2018.

Senzel has been very good so far, and the Reds will likely have a top 2 or 3 pick in next year's draft which helps.

There is nothing that backs up your hot take here. Try again.

Cubs working on extension with Chapman Cubs will give up prospect Gleyber Torres.

If they were aerious in rebuilding we wouldnt have 30+ year olds on this team. You dont rebuild with guys finishing the senior tour.

Whoa....I like the deal more if they can lock him for at least 1 year after this one. Having some stud relievers really shortens the game...When Chapman puts up a 0 every other game, that's huge.

Where does Torres rank on the Cubs prospect list?

I'm not sure how I feel about it. Hope we don't give up too much for a rental.

If I was Cubs fan I would say make any trade to make a WS possible.

Any info on this guy?

No chance that happens. They might re-sign him but they'll have to outbid everyone else to do it. Zero chance he doesn't test the market.

Someone just tweeted no extension would be on the table.

Very high up, in a few years he would be their top prospect if not sooner.

Yankees also very interested in Soler...What a haul would it be for the Cubs if they can land Chapman and Miller. Please let this be what they're talking about...

No doubt, but they always are looking ahead to next year on the North side.

It's a difficult adjustment to make :lol2:
