August 2, 201610 yr What others besides Chapman? Soler went at a dude with a bat a couple of years ago in the minors :lol2:
August 2, 201610 yr Yeah, I don't really understand that either. I guess they are assuming Yo is going to opt out? Walker will be a FA at the end of the year and they just traded the future at 2B for their 5th corner OFer.I don't think the Reds necessarily did bad. Don't think it was a HR either. Overall probably just about right. But from the Mets side it's simply perplexing. Where are they playing everyone? Who plays CF? I think they have to be working under the assumption Cespedes is gone.

They got a guy that was top 50 just a few years ago and looks to be a nice MLB player in the future. Sounds like Granderson/Conforto will play CF. :eyeonyou: That will be one bad OF.

The only grade I saw was from ESPN today and they gave the Reds a B+ on the deal and the Mets a C for all things everyone is mentioning.

August 2, 201610 yr The guy they got is projected higher than either of those guy, but congrats on the hot take. He's not on prospect lists because he has too many MLB at bats. How many at MLB at bats does he have? The SS's i mentioned were their numbers #1 and #3 current prospects and Nimmo #5 I believe. So Herrera was Number 1a before the MLB at bats? The pitcher wasn't even in the top 30, unless I guess he has pitched an MLB inning and is no longer on the prospect list

August 2, 201610 yr The pitcher was #16 on their top 30. #16 pitcher or player? I got my info from MLB Pipeline, don't remember seeing that name in their top 30 prospects. Could have overlooked it

He has 150 at bats.

Could have overlooked it He was the #16 overall prospect in their organization. Yes, Herrera would've been a top 2 or 3 in the organization had he been eligible. They weren't trading Rosario (top 20 overall) or Smith (top 70 overall). Herrera would've been higher than Cecchini.
