August 2, 201610 yr Herrera is a better prospect than Nimmo. He's just had too many ML ABs to qualify for prospect status. I would've preferred Nimmo due to fit, but Herrera is a solid get. Wish they would've moved Cozart too.

August 2, 201610 yr Someone is going to be the odd man out. I think it will all work out from a performance standpoint. I agree. Could also see them viewing Peraza as a "super utility" guy as well. On a somewhat related note, I think Phillips will either be traded (they'll let him know what the alternative is) or DFA'd in the offseason.
August 2, 201610 yr Gotta have somewhere for Suarez, unless you don't think he's part of the future. He'll still play at 3B next year unless you think Senzel will be ready that quickly.

Get rid of Phillips. 1st - Votto 2nd - Herrera 3rd - Suarez SS - Cozart / Peraza LF - Duvall / Peraza CF - Hamilton RF - Schebler / Duvall / Winker I'm not convinced Suarez is the 3B of the future, but I do like his ability to hit for power. A lot depends on whether Peraza (or Herrera) can play SS. We know Suarez can't (at least not effectively).
August 2, 201610 yr Any of the grades I'm seeing on the Bruce trade is a C or C+ for the Reds. I think they coulda got more for him. I honestly haven't seen that anywhere. Most things I saw think the Reds did just fine.
August 2, 201610 yr Suarez is 24 and outside of his month of May where he hit like .170 he's hitting around .250-.270 in the other 3 months. Love his power, swing and ability to drive the ball to all fields. He would be a part of my future, I'm a fan.

August 2, 201610 yr Dude was the cover of MLB the show last year, now getting demoted. Is it just me or are a lot of these Cuban players coming with issues? What others besides Chapman?
August 2, 201610 yr I honestly haven't seen that anywhere. Most things I saw think the Reds did just fine. Honestly, I have trouble understanding why the Mets are trading for another corner OFer.
August 2, 201610 yr Honestly, I have trouble understanding why the Mets are trading for another corner OFer. Yeah, I don't really understand that either. I guess they are assuming Yo is going to opt out? Walker will be a FA at the end of the year and they just traded the future at 2B for their 5th corner OFer.
