If they get a sure thing offensive starting player who you can plug in the lineup for 5 years+, go for it. It better be high quality and can't miss. That's what you should get for the most valuable, most scarce product in the market - a proven quality starting pitcher.

As of yesterday he hadn't given them permission to trade anyone yet. I think they value Miller more than Chapman. They'll move him, then as you said move on to entertaining offers for Miller.

July 25, 201610 yr My lord talk about overpaying. I know, I'm trying not get mad over it, Theo has by and large been great but I feel like Cashman is owning him and Jed in these trades. We already got bent over in the Castro trade, now we're looking at giving up potentially great players for 2 months? Surely there will be more to this trade. The latest I saw was Soler not part of the trade.
