Indiana 99 Kentucky 96

Featured Replies

The Indiana boys all star team continued its winning ways against Kentucky with a 99-96 win this afternoon at Bellarmine. Indiana led by 19 with about 7 minutes left before Kentucky started coming back. Kentucky actually had a 3-point shot as the game ended to try to send the game into overtime, but it was not to be.

Indiana, which was playing with only 8 players (among those missing was Mr. Basketball Kyle Guy), was led by Eugene German, who had 34 points. Kentucky was led by Mason Faulkner with 21. Mr. Basketball Carson Williams added 19.

The crowd was pretty dismal. I think there were no more than about 500 fans there for the boys game. The crowd actually seemed bigger for the girls game, but many of those fans left before the boys game.

Interesting attendance figures. Almost 7k yesterday vs today

Drove down to the game expecting a blowout, turned out to be entertaining. The crowd was nonexistent, probably less than 400 if the gym really holds 2,500 as it says. That aside, Faulkner is a very good player. He and Williams could be NKU's two best players next season. They two kept Kentucky in the game. The rest of Kentucky's roster seemed overmatched by Indiana. I would agree it's time to end the series if they can only get 400 fans at an all-star game.

I keep posting this every year: let's get serious and do it right or stop doing at all.

This class was hurt by Eli Wright and Braxton Beverly leaving the state for their senior year. Not saying they power the team to victory but they would certainly help the situation.

Good to hear the Norse will have some young talent arriving. So sad to hear that only 400 were in attendance but then again I wasn't there so there's that.

This series has about run its course. End it and start one with a state that has a similar population, maybe West Virginia. Kentucky can't beat Indiana just like Indiana would have a tough time defeating Texas, New York or California.

I thought there was more than 400 there. I would have guessed 700 but still awful turnout either way. The game was entertaining at least.

I would keep the game going but only play it at Indiana.

The players and fans definitely were too fond of Breeden's coaching style.

The Kentucky Coaching was a head scratchier.

I am not knocking the coaches but why dont they let the young guys take over and bring some new energy and ideas to this thing. If you gonna do it do it right.
