It only took hours and we already have two violators, one is suspended and the other is getting a 3 Day Vacation from this and some other forums.

 

We are going to get to the point where the only thing that makes sense is to do away with this forum.

I frequent the forum quite often, but rarely post in it as the discussions seem to get heated and disrespectful really quick. It is getting to the point where the only thing that makes sense is to drop the forum all together for the sake of the site. The main reason I say that is because the arguments and insults seem to carry over to the other forums from time to time. I guess you could close it down during times of major elections, since that's really the only time I have seen it get out of control on a daily basis. Or maybe we could all make an attempt to act like adults. :idunno:

I learn a lot from this forum, even though I don't post often, so I'd hate to see that happen.

 

I'd prefer we just end some posters memberships if they are habitual trouble makers, but I do recognize that puts a lot more work on moderators.

Agree 100% on this. It is informative and even though at times I will admit poking the bear on this forum, I think that public execution of the offenders is a better avenue...

 

I propose a wall of shame where when you get suspended for being a tool bag your avatar is listed, next to your rule violation and the sentence that you get....but I'm into public humiliation as a behavior modification tool so.....

Is it possible to have threads removed from your page? I'd have no problem if the politics/religion forum wasn't accessible for me and if I couldn't even see it. I usually just end up mad and frustrated when I read through it.
