Was at mason yesterday . The one kid is a nice shooter. Other than that, really don't see much . A tired Lex cath beat them with 6 kids in the second of back to back games with a two min break.

You must have failed to notice Bracken County took out the entire starting 5 for ten minutes. Player development is much more important than wins and loses.

It seemed like Bracken County missed a lot of shots, hope they shoot better next few times at the Fieldhouse. District, Region, and against Mason County on Dec. 13th

Surely it was just them only have been practicing for a week.

Both Fisher brothers were missing due to baseball which is in season, who should help tremendously with handling.

Travis Tucker (soph) is definitely going to be getting some big minutes and shot the 3 ball surprisingly well.

Jones is improved but still needs to be stronger and more aggressive (tell him this everyday)

Didn't notice . Do know lex cath had 3 starters and 3 Jv players. Anyway, not downing the smaller schools. Just saying they are far from playing with the big boys.

Heard he is focusing on Track/CC. I know he performed very well at the State Track Meet a few weeks ago. I thought Bracken really struggled last year after he went down with an injury that ended his season.

You are definitely right. Saw him playing with an AAU team a few weeks ago. Asked someone who he was and they said he was from Bracken County. Think he has a lot of upside. The coach of his AAU team will really help him improve his game also.

Maysville newspaper had article Monday where Hinson acknowledged he would not have Hamilton this year. Confirmed what you heard...going to focus on track and cc. Can't blame him as he has the potential to get partial scholaeship to a small school in these sports. My opinion, these sports compliment basketball and the conflicts would be minimal. The injury and time away last season might have dampened his enthusiasm for roundball.

I'll confirm that he's not. Told me those exact words himself.

Just hope adults will leave him alone and let him stick to his own decision.

Would get tired of hearing, "are you playing?, "why aren't you playing?" every single day from an ex ball player or adults in general and am sure he is hearing it. He had a bad knee injury last year caused by basketball, as have many others that ran track/cross country(Cam Snapp and Sara Sticklan come to mind), why roll the dice again? He has made an adult decision, respect it.

Big hit on Bracken county without Hamilton definitely not close to same team last year without him. Young kids will need to develop fast. To help Crawford out could take a while to gel but believe Hinson will have them ready by class a.

Agreed. :thumb:

Jacob is a great kid. Has a passion for running. Do not blame a kid for wanting to do what he loves. I have coached him in basketball and hate to see him not play but if that is his decision so be it. He has to do what makes him happy.

He is afraid of getting hurt probably. But if he cared about basketball he would play, Camryn Snapp did both, because he cared about both. Basically a waste of all those hours put in and hate to see him not play. But I understand why.

Heard Crawford had 50 points against Bullitt Central at Georgetown Team Camp yesterday with Georgetown's head coach in attendance.

Bracken played well against Logan WV yesterday. Not deep, and got some work to do, but not bad overall. Need to work on physical game and their post play is suspect right now. Crawford makes all things happen with this team.
