Really? Yikes. Those must be nightmares.

Any ideas of what game times will look like? Will it be noon and 4 each day, like the last few years of four-class football? Will Friday's games be afternoon and evening to avoid school?

My first thought was noon and 4, but then I doubt they would play that early on Sunday. I would guess noon and 4 on Friday and Saturday and maybe 1 and 5 on Sunday.

 

I think Thursday, Friday, Saturday makes more sense than Friday, Saturday, Sunday, but I will take it. Three games per day is tough, especially in bad weather.

I don't like the noon time myself. I'd prefer a 2CST and 5 or 6CST time for the games.

I know. I just think attendance would be better if in the Lexington area. I mean kids dream of playing inCommonwealth stadium.

Let's just move all the championships to Lexington. No other kids in the state deserve to play for championships close to home.

Night games Friday (Why else change if you son't eliminate the early games). If they continue to play early games Friday it defeats the whole stated purpose of doing this.

 

I'm not a fan. I HATE high schools playing on Sundays.

Sunday games are just bad for those kids that go to church. What about those kids that their parents won't let them miss church to play ball? They will work hard all year and not be allowed to play.

Personally, I'd like to see one game Thursday night, three games on Friday, then two on Saturday (noon & 4). Just selfish reasons for me. But I do like the willingness to adjust times/dates.

It is big but the games were played in Louisville forever like that. Teams from the Louisville area had an advantage there when they made it. Just like some tea from the western part of the state now. I say move it to Lexington or Richmond so Eastern and Northern Kentucku teams can have a little leveridge for once.

 

Those areas always have leverage. Nothing wrong with traveling a little west for a state championship.

I'm not sure how long it's been since they have played else where besides Western Ky and Louisville but I would like to see the eastern kentucky kids for once get just about a 2 hour bus ride instead of 3+ else where or more. It's further to Western for Northern Kentucky schools than Eastern but not by much.

I'd say since it's going to 3 days the first schedule time game around 11 central and 12 eastern will be moved to 2 central and 3 eastern time.

From a personal standpoint I don't like the games overlapping the NFL on Sunday.

 

From a what's best for KY High School Football I like. It will make the football finals more of an event, more enjoyable, and hopefully more people will come out and see the games. WKU is the perfect venue for the state football finals.

 

How is it perfect for eastern and northern Kentucky?
