Bracken County cancels all away sporting events with Augusta and St. Patrick

Featured Replies

Never a good time for the :poop: to hit the fan so it is what it is.

For the record Bracken only cancelled their away games. Leaving the opportunity for the teams to travel to Brooksville and still play. No different that Mason Co not traveling to Augusta or St Pat.

Another good point.

Seems a bit childish to me. Adults getting in the way.

This is all about the timing look at the past few years Augusta and mason dominant against Bracken. Now this year Augusta and st pat both on a down year Bracken all about seeding because they don't want the draw with the chance of drawing mason and being bounced the first round. If this team is supposed to be so good then why worry about the draw. You have to beat the best to be the best. They should look how Augusta done it the past 4 years.

As I understand it, Bracken County is the only team in the District that has consistently supported seeding.

While I can understand the timing makes Bracken County look weak here, I still support what they are doing.

Drawing for the District Tournament is nothing but silly. Augusta having to play Mason County two years in a row was ridiculous and should never have happened.

RP is right Bracken is the only consistent proponent of seeding. Mason came on board at the last vote.

I agree every district should seed. Just think it seems like Bracken county is pushing now , but with garrison leaving mason county Bracken county should be heavy favorite in District anyway so why does it matter who they play. I just hate seeing such a great rival die because of this.

Bracken County and Augusta could hook up in the 10th Region "A" Lower Bracket Semi-finals, if the Bears get by Roberston County and the Panthers can defeat Nicholas County.

Baseball is what's pushed them over the top on this I believe.

Didn't I see somewhere that Mason County and St. Patrick have a basketball game scheduled at St. Patrick this season?

Now that you mention it, that rings a bell.

Yep first time maybe ever??

Yep first time maybe ever??

First time in a long time, at any rate.

Until the KHSAA mandates seeding, no use crying about it. It's gonna be a month of Sundays before Augusta and St. Patrick vote to seed. If Augusta wasn't in favor during their recent run of success, they won't be now.
