Joe Taylor is new coach and about 30 kids showed up .He has an uphill battle .

According to some, 30 is an improvement.

 

Bottom line for Central's upcoming season - they better hope they manage to hold on to John Ford and Chauncey Greer. If one or both go (as has been rumored), they're even more crispy toast than they already were. (Judging by the fact John Ford already has South Warren Spartans on his Twitter, safe bet on him)

I don't really know what the ramifications are. That would be a bitter pill to swallow for WC given that Central had to play extra games on the road last year waiting on their stadium. They have seven home games slated for this season, and two of the other road ones are also in Warren County. Owensboro is the only game they're slated for significant travel. I'd think they'd do almost anything to make sure they at least put a team out there.

Seems hard to believe that they'd pay a fee of 5K a game, but who knows. That just seems steep. It'd be even more of a reason to make sure to at least put a team out there. I'd dress 11 guys and tell them to move straight to the sidelines on defense and take a knee on offense every play before I'd pay 50K.

They'll field a team. Taylor will get kids out to play, that much I am pretty sure of. Now what is left for him to work with after all of this is debatable, but Central will have a team.

Who is Joe Taylor?

Joel Taylor, he was the Jr High Coach at BGJHS.

I'm not high on Taylor's coaching ability. But I do believe he will help get players out and that is definitely a positive for Warren Central. I would be interested to see if any of the BG players follow Taylor including Tisdale.

I would rank Tisdale going to Warren Central as the most unlikely event in the history of Kentucky football. Big V is a Purple, through and through. Both of his sons, the same. Traditional bloodlines don't leave BGHS.

Has this hire been made official? I did not see any news about this in the BG Daily News web page. This hire of BGMS' head coach by one of the Purples' main rivals ought to make the game this fall between the Purples and the Dragons to be a very spicy event to witness.

I figured as much. He was the only player that I knew from this years team. Love the nappy roots reference.
