May 5, 201610 yr My wife and I are having my youngest son's Rehearsal Dinner at Bella Notte in July. We had a preview of the food at lunch back in December and thought it was tasty.
May 5, 201610 yr Wallace Station. Regular stop for me. Go mainly for the desserts...great buttermilk pie, among many other offerings. Very good sandwiches too. usually crowded unless it's just an odd time of the day you stop in. Located on Old Frankfort Pike between Versailles and Midway. if in the area definitely worth the stop. Beumont Inn. Very good. Located in a very cool, older, historic area of Harrodsburg among some very nice old homes. Boone Tavern. Cool place...been a while since I have been there. Spoon bread is something they are known for. I's corn bread so moist it's almost pudding-like. I put sugar on it and eat it like cake.
May 5, 201610 yr Smith House, Rodney's on Broadway and Beumont Inn are all excellent. Two I would add to the worth the wait list are Pattie's Settlement and Greyhound Tavern on chicken night.

I have to be craving a certain dish from a place to wait very long to get in. Way too many options. I don't see how people wait an hour to get in a restaurant.
May 5, 201610 yr Beumont Inn - Get to stay there a few times a year as we have a plant in the area. Wonderful place to stay. Just walking around and looking at all the antiques, reading all the stories, makes it an awesome place. The squeaky floors, rooms with no three prong outlets, no temperature adjustment in each room, etc all make it seem like you are not in a hotel but an old time home. As far as food goes, I prefer the food at the Old Owl Tavern on the property over the food at the Inn itself but both are very good. The Inn breakfast though is really really good.

We were going to hit one of the distilleries, then take in Wallace Station a while back. I got sick on the way, we had to come back. I eventually got sicker, but recovered and it's still on our bucket list.

May 5, 201610 yr I'm getting this way more and more with time. I have to be craving a certain dish from a place to wait very long to get in. Way too many options. I don't see how people wait an hour to get in a restaurant. I don't do lines period, for anything. My time is worth to much.
