Something you've accomplished that was very difficult, but well worth it

Staying married for 29 years.

This is supposed to be about you, not your spouse:)!

Getting through a 20 year law enforcement career without being injured and without ever seriously injuring anyone else.

For me, luck and great training kept me safe but I am more proud of not seriously (or even moderately) injuring anyone else.

Awesome Ru! My dad was a cop for many years (retired now) and he only had one incident where he had to shoot someone. He aimed at his shoulder and dropped him but did not kill him. The guy he shot was a career criminal and no good to society AT ALL. Other cops on the force told my dad he should have killed the bum. My dad always said he did not want to live with killing someone the rest of his life unless it was absolutely necessary. Glad you don't have to think about that either!

Raising my son on my own since he was 9 months old. He turns 10 next month and has been getting all As on his report card and 2 Bs. Heading into the fifth grade and about to start his fifth season of football.

Real question is how many donuts have you ate? I am just joking. Sounds like a great career.

Quit smoking, also. Smoked for 45 years and quit last May. I still want a cigarette, sometimes it s hard to suppress.

Nothing even comes close to how difficult it is.

I have several things but not maybe considered all accomplishments.

--survived getting hit by a car at age 11 and leaning to walk all over.

--Survived a work place shooting with a gun being held on me.

--married to same person for 35 years.

--researching basketball history and assembling books for area teams.

--Helping Mason County basketball program for 28 years including State Championship.

--Played and Coached on several State championship softball teams and two National Champions.

--living to age 57.

--Being friends with Randy Parker and MCPapa for several years.

Just a few but with all of these my Granddaughters are #1!!!!!!!

Very few and that goes for everyone I worked with. The allure of DD is the Coffee.

Seven years of infertility treatments, including surgeries, drugs and all the emotional pain that went with it (not to mention the financial burden). Finally had 3 kids in 3 years, all grown now. Raising them was the greatest privilege of my life and I didn't take a single moment for granted.

I didn't think it was that big a deal at the time but other people are usually impressed. I earned two BA's from NKU while working pretty close to full time as well.

So what if I was in school long enough to become a doctor....

Surviving my late teens/early twenties is also rather impressive when looking back at some of the stuff I did.

Got my kids through 12 years of Catholic school.

One down, two to go for me.

Word. I did that 3 times plus college.

You want to be an adult, start paying like an adult. I draw the line after high school. :lol2:

Ideally that fine Catholic edumacation should've earned them some money towards college. I'm sure it has and will ccontinue to in your case.

I lost 70 pounds since April 2015. Now if I could just punch through that 300lb barrier I've not been able to consistently get under.

I'm proud that I could come out of retirement from 14 years to be able to get back in good enough shape to be able to be good again at bartending/waiting tables.

I once catalogued my CD collection of several thousand, but that was more than a decade ago, well before I got back into vinyl records. About half of those CDs have been sold since then. I've only kept the ones I didn't already have on vinyl, or ones that were rare.

I'm happy that I've learned better how to deal with depression, and that it will never cripple me again the way it used to decades ago.

I've won a bunch of job-related awards, but I'm not necessarily proud of that because I feel as though I've been cheated out of as many others. Damned judges hooked me.

Oh yeah — I'll always be cooler than you.
