April 29, 201610 yr Good pick for the Bengals with where the draft was and who was available. Plus, they stole the Steelers pick.
April 29, 201610 yr Bengals missed out on the receiver. I like the Steelers pick getting some U swagger.
April 29, 201610 yr I knew he was first round but wasn't sure how high. People love his size and "upside." Feels like a high upside basketball pick. Jerry Reese has been money in the first round of the draft. I trust his picks there. It's the later rounds the he has struggled.
April 29, 201610 yr Cleveland gets an A+ for all the picks they have plus a really good receiver. They have the first pick in the 2nd round.
April 29, 201610 yr 1st Round Breakdown by Conference: SEC - 8 B1G - 6 ACC - 4 PAC12 - 4 BIG12 - 3 AAC - 2 IND - 2 CUSA - 1 DII - 1
April 29, 201610 yr Guess who's getting drug tested the second after he signs his contract? That was hilarious.
April 29, 201610 yr Jerry Reese has been money in the first round of the draft. I trust his picks there. It's the later rounds the he has struggled. I still remember watching him in the Army All American game, he has so much talent and keep in mind he's from Jersey. You could have a 10 mill per year corner in 4 years, if he develops like he's projected too.
April 29, 201610 yr 1st Round Breakdown by Conference: SEC - 8 B1G - 6 ACC - 4 PAC12 - 4 BIG12 - 3 AAC - 2 IND - 2 CUSA - 1 DII - 1 Who was the D2 guy?
April 29, 201610 yr There were three WRs that I would have felt good about the Browns taking early in the first round. My preference was Treadwell from Ole Miss because of his size. Next was Josh Doctsonbecause he is 6-2 and 4.4 in 40. His weakness is that he is weak with a lean frame and not expected to be able to bulk up, though he is good at fighting for the ball in the air. Clevelend picked Corey Coleman from Baylor. 4.37 in the 40 but he is under 5-11 at 190 lbs. Not terribly small, like Travis Benjamin was, but not the big receiver Hue is said to prefer. Here's a brief summary of why Cleveland selected Coleman as the first WR taken in this draft: In his 12 starts as a junior last season, Coleman caught 74 passes for 1,363 yards and an NCAA-high 20 touchdowns ... His 33 career touchdown receptions are a school record. He also returned 24 kickoffs for a 26.3-yard average, including a 97-yard TD. The Browns last season finished 30th in the NFL with only 28 touchdowns, including 25 on offense. Only eight were scored by the wideouts. (from Mary Kay Cabot on Cleveland.com) The Browns badly need a play maker and Coleman can score from anywhere on the field at any time. We got a taste of what that can do for an offense in one suspension shortened season by Josh Gordon. Unfortunately, he likes to score some weed off the field. Coleman brings an even more dynamic ability on the field than Gordon, however. I like the pick. I think Coleman was worthy of being the first receiver taken. He has potential to be a game-changer.
April 29, 201610 yr Cleveland gets an A+ for all the picks they have plus a really good receiver. They have the first pick in the 2nd round. There are two schools of thought on this. Stockpiling picks will eventually build a good team. Stockpiling draft picks is less effective than having an elite quarterback. Somebody on one of the pre-draft shows listed the ten teams that have had the most draft picks over the past several (ten?) years. All of them have stunk and continue to stink. None of them have had a good quarterback.
