May 1, 201610 yr I guess they had to take multiple WRs because they messed up their pick at # 15. According to the talking heads they could have gotten a more needed position there or at least a better WR. As for all the WRs, why would you waste picks on guys who probably won't make the team. I'm sure there were needs they could have filled with say 2 less WRs. They had to take multiple WRs because previous regimes have messed up previous drafts by not drafting WRs. They preferred instead to sign several undrafted FAs in the past and get a veteran or two via FA. That strategy has left them terribly shorthanded at the WR position. Time to remedy that. I'll withhold judgment of the Browns #15 pick until we see how Corey Coleman performs in a Brown's uniform. He was their top graded receiver and a #15 pick is not out of line for a top receiver. At this point, we don't know how good of a pick it was. He has potential to be a dynamic play-maker and TD scorer. If so, it was a good pick. 4 WRs out of 14 picks. That left them 10 picks to address other needs, which they did. How many picks did the Bengals have in this year's draft? Talking heads are only talking heads for a reason. If they were great evaluators of talent they would be on an NFL team as the personnel guy or GM. They have the luxury of not having their job depend on their ability to draft the right players. They can say things like, "If [this player] is placed in the right system he will be a star." Their behind is not on the line. I'll give deference to the guy whose job is on the line and therefore has spent every waking hour watching film of the draft class since the end of the season and even before. The talking heads are doing it for entertainment purposes only. The real experts work for NFL teams. Besides, the talking heads I have seen seemed to like the Brown's #15 pick and what they did in rounds 1-3. It is all just a matter of opinion. It's fun to conjecture but until each player dons a uniform and earns his keep on the field, it is all just speculation, entertainment, and fun. That's why I don't give much credence to draft grades in the hours, days, and weeks following the draft. No one really knows at this point. All we can do is sit back and say, "Well the team has this need and they got someone who appears to meet that need, so looks like a good pick." We have no idea if that player will turn out to be "the guy." Maybe he will turn out like David Klingler or Brandon Weeden, for instance. In my mind, probably the most questionable move by the Browns was passing on several QBs and selecting Cody Kessler from USC. He has middle of the road measurables, things like size and arm strength. The one thing he seems to excel at is accuracy and this iswhat Hue Jackson went for. The guy I thought they would try to land at some point, Connor Cook, was not so accurate... 67% completion rate compared to 56% completion rate. Hue intimated before the draft that he didn't necessarily rate the QBs the same way as the talking heads. This pick proved it.
May 1, 201610 yr Tunstil's former financial advisor is on the list of suspects as to who posted the video. If they prove that the guy will never get another client.
May 3, 201610 yr Author I'm still in awe that the Jags got 2 of the 5 best defensive players in the draft. I know Jack's knee is a bit of a concern but worth the risk in round 2.
August 13, 201610 yr Wentz suffered broken ribs in last night's game. Oh, it was one rib with a very minor crack. He's gotta learn to live to fight another day.
August 14, 201610 yr Dak Prescott is looking like a STUD in his first quarter of play...over 100 yards passing and 2 TDs. #TonyWho ? #Waiting4RomoInjury

August 14, 201610 yr #preseason Jerry Jones is downright giddy right now. Here is his quote regarding tonight's QB play. “This quarterback Dak can drive the ball down field,” Jones said. “He’s a thing of beauty on throwing a football. His passing motion and his arm, frankly, you won’t see a more gifted passer, power, accuracy, the entire aspect of it. If he can basically prepare, be the starting quarterback, come in and execute and keep his head right, then I feel good about Dak.”
