Depends on what your definition of political knowledge is, you see it as a positive while Trumps supporters see it as a negative.

While political knowledge on the surface seems to be a requirement, if we step away from politics a moment we can put it into perspective.

 

A great many CEO's are running companies very successfully, even though they have no practical experience in what that company actually does. What they do have is the ability to lead people, take advice from experts and make decisions based on those recommendations.

 

One of the great stories I've read about President Obama, is about how thoroughly he wanted to be briefed when an issue was brought to him and how inquisitive he is asking many questions. Even though I don't agree with many of his conclusions that it is what you want your CEO or President to do.

 

So whether you are a Junior Senator, A Congressman or a Businessman...you are either a capable leader or you are not. If you are a "Leader" then it's the experience of those advising you that matters most.

I don't disagree, and it's just sad. People are drawn to a candidate for the highest office in the land, not in spite of his lack of knowledge, but because of it. I don't know, I wasn't talking directly about him but what we need in a leader and that direct experience isn't always as important as some make it out to be.

 

As far as Trump goes I don't think you get to where he is without trusting and listening to others...after all no one can do it all alone.

Love this post JD. I don't care if my President has the answer to EVERY question. There is not one person on Earth who can run the country by himself/herself. The President needs a whole bunch of people working for him/her who know what they are doing. Everything I have read about Trump is that he hires great people in his companies and lets them do their jobs. It is refreshing that Trump says he would do that as President.

 

What the Establishment R's are doing is both wrong and pitiful. When this thing started Rubio was my guy. I would not vote for him for mayor of a podunk town now. He actually is encouraging people to vote for Kasich in Ohio. I have never heard a candidate actually say to voters to vote for someone else in any state. Rubio is proving to be totally inept of late.
