Strpes3, I do not know what this list is suppose to be? Top Rebouders? Top Pt Gaurds, just what? This definitely could not be based on who you have seen play because a few of these kids are not good shooters at all! Most are good shooters but not the better ones in the state! Obviously there are others that you have not seen and that is understandable. We asked for everyones thoughts and you are entitled to yours

You always get a blurry picture of everything from his part of the state.

James Strange isn't the best shooter in the state but he is one of the top ones. Good form and very consistant it just takes a little too much time to get off. But I will say Smith from Harlan is arguably the best shooter in the state.

There are some good scorers on this list, but not great shooters. There is a big difference.

Cam Hundley is a good player, but I have watched him play several times and I can't even recall him ever shooting a three.

I agree that you can be a good shooter without shooting threes, but he's not a good shooter.

Your right hoopster, for some reason when I read this thread I took it that we were talking about outside shooting. I will agree Hundley has a nice mid range jumpshot.

The Prewitt kid from whitley can shoot from anywhere on the court.

The Anderson kid from WC can fill it up.

I would say that in NKY you have to include Brandon Lenhof in the talks. This kid is a real pure shooter. He can spot up or hit a jumper off the dribble. He can kill you either way.

 

As for the best in NKY Todd Jacobs is #1. And its laughable not to include him in the talks as one of the best in the state. He was one of the best last season as a junior. Bovard is a good 3pt shooter but that doesn't make him a better shooter than Todd. They both can light it up, but Kurt is a little more streakier than Todd.

 

As for Budman's suggestion of Chris Bray. I would disagree. Bray is a good player but I would not say he is one of the top 3. There might be a little bit of bias there, but I understand because I'm biased toward Lenhof and Jacobs also. I agree with Jimmy Ryan though and also would add Corey Sorrel to that list. Both those Indians can light it up and could cause some problems to teams in the 35th.

Daniel Neeley (from owlsey/owen) can shoot the eyes out of it consistantly, really the keypoint to his game.
