What if you're in Cali on a beautiful day overlooking the Pacific? Still inside with "Jeff the bartender?"

Prefer a booth with back to a wall or corner area so I can see the majority of open space. Can't stand having my back to most of the patrons around.

The bar is good with just two people, more than that, its kind of awkward.

This is me 100% except I prefer a table. I absolutely prefer my back to a wall or less populated area. If I'm sitting with my back to an open space then I am not going to be comfortable. I can't explain it but it is real. Fortunately Mrs 2C and my kids have all adjusted and they just instinctively leave me the most appropriate seat at the table.

What if I'm in Tahiti at a luau? Obviously there would be potential exceptions, but by and large I don't dine on the Pacific Ocean often enough to list those. Sure, if I'm having Fish Tacos at the Land Shark at Newport Beach, I'll sit outside.

I wanted to how resolute you were with "NEVER."

Prefer a booth, always. Booth at the bar is the best of both worlds. I HATE HATE HATE high top bar tables and stools and have no clue who they fit comfortably. However, if it's all a place has available at the time, we really want top eat there and there is a long wait otherwise, I will sit at a high top...but very rarely is that the case.

I don't trust those who when presented with the option of booth or table, choose table. I don't need that kind of negativity in my life.

When I show up to a crowed restaurant I always end up with the best seat in the house for some reason.

Prefer a table if there are lots of folks and I always 'over table'.

Like tall boy tables if it is casual.

The bride and I have been doing a lot of the bar lately. Especially if it is just appetizers and drinks.

Do not like booths.

I MUST sit at the left end of a table or booth. It a left handed thing.

I'm a bar guy, but I travel alot for work so I usually have a couple meals alone a week. My wife also likes to sit at the bar and have dinner so that's good for me.
