If it is murder, why is it the law of the land of the free and the home of the brave?

If it is murder, why is it the law of the land of the free and the home of the brave?

Because it's convenient?

I'm surprised I haven't seen the good term "adoption" mentioned yet.

There is something we agree on ? :) j/k I do think you are a fine woman. I have no doubt you have a great heart. Let me ask you, from your point of view is there ever a time when a woman should be able to make a choice for herself concerning the termination of her pregnancy or should it always be out of her hands?

Don't have sex, don't get pregnant, use birth control. Those are choices... See I'm pro-choice, ...before the fact. Pro-life after. You get knocked up, suck it up... That's life.

What a great answer.

I would like to see the numbers on how many married females choose abortion compared to single females. I bet there is a staggering difference. The decomposition of society is that I can do what I want and there is no consequences.

Tens of millions of people would like that answered.

This is also a good time to ask all those folks who describe themselves as "pro-life" what their opinion is on the death penalty.

I'm pro-life and anti-death penalty. There are some criminals who I think deserve to die though. I also think in the history of the world there has never existed a fetus that deserved to die.

I just don't trust our legal system to not make mistakes and not kill someone who is innocent. I also think poor and minority folks don't have access to the best legal counsel to keep them from the death penalty when rich white folks more often do.

How brave is it to murder a baby? Why can you kill a dog and go to jail but be allowed to kill a human because its more convienant than giving birth and adoption? Maybe we should start neutering and spaiding people. We have four children. Did we sacrifice and do withought the luxuries? Yes. Was it a grind at times? Yes. Do I ever wish that two of our children who were unplanned weren't here to make it easier? Hell no. Killing a child is the most selfish act a person can do. The government will pay you to keep the kid if you don't have the means. What else do you need? Free house, free healthcare, free food, discount electric, free school, free daycare. As much as I hate free loading by lazy people I will gladly watch my tax dollars work in that manner if it saves one childs life.

As an adoptive Dad, I'm sure there is no need to say where I stand but...........

I am 100% anti-abortion.

That's the other issue, adoption needs to be a lot less expensive and a whole lot easier. You may not be able to save the world, but you made a difference in one childs life.. That's oustanding!

The pro-choice people on this thread have asked a lot of questions of the pro-life people challenging them...some very good questions. I, like Clyde, while I abhor abortion, could not see myself putting a woman in jail for having one. I admit I am conflicted on the subject. I do have this question for the pro-choice folks on here. Are you OK with performing an abortion a week before a woman is scheduled to have the baby? A day before? If it is truly the woman's right to choose (it is after all her body, right?) and you are consistent, you should be OK with this.

Amen about making it less expensive!!!

We adapted two daughters.

The foster care system in the USA needs a serious revamping also.

I doubt you will get a straight answer on this.

Kudos to you and your bride for giving a home to two lovely girls. That's really cool.
