I've always put people who adopt up on a pedestal. We need more to do it.

Yes we do.

The USA needs to revamp the foster care system and make it easier and cheaper for people to adopt.

We also need to get rid of the loopholes in the adoption process. Like the mother can come back any time before the child reaches 18 and ask for them back. How traumatizing to the child that would be.

A former co-worker of mine and his wife were foster parents and attempting to adopt two very young children. The hoops and crap they had to go through was ridiculous. They were trying to provide a stable environment for two kids that otherwise wouldn't grow up in one.

Absolutely need to streamline the process and make it more accessible to families that want to help.

Kudos to you man! :thumb:

Can't we all agree that abortion is an unacceptable form of birth control and something that needs to stop....completely?

Can't we all agree that abortion is an unacceptable form of birth control and something that needs to stop....completely?

How?

How?

How are they trying to kill the smoking industry? The Coal industry? Educate and regulate...

If your daughter or grand-daughter was brutally raped( pardon such a horrible thought but just a hypothetical) by a stranger and on top of that suffered a severe beating that left her life in peril, would you want her(or family) to be able to decide what she wanted to do or should she or her family have no choice in the matter? She shouldn't have the option to terminate the unwanted pregnancy if that's what she decided to do?

What are the percentage of abortions that terminate a pregnancy created by a rape vs. those that terminate a pregnancy of inconvenience? Abortions In America

For many, and not saying you, but for many pro-choice folks, there is no emotional connection with abortion. What I mean by that is, for those pro-choice folks that have never had an abortion, it is a theory that they are defending. Most have never seen footage of an actual abortion, where the child's head is smashed and appendages are ripped from the torso as the body parts are suctioned out. It is grotesque and I cannot, for the life of me, understand how people turn a blind eye to how absolutely brutal and inhumane the procedures are.

So, many pro choicers sit in an ivory tower of Equal Rights for all. It is a woman's body, it is her choice. On paper and in, again, theory it makes sense. However, when you get to the actual nuts and bolts of abortion, what you see is so graphic, violent that if we even dreamt of doing that to convicted murders the ACLU and, I would hope, EVERYONE would be up-in-arms against the legislature to protest it.

Again, it is LITERALLY ripping arms off and smashing skulls.

Can't we all agree that abortion is an unacceptable form of birth control and something that needs to stop....completely?

I don't know exactly. Education would be a good start. Mexitucky explains how graphically brutal and inhumane abortion is. Perhaps all young women should have to view videos of what actually happens. Maybe there should be laws against abortions because the pregnancy is inconvenient, after all from what I see in the link provided by mexitucky less than 1% of all abortions take place because of rape and/or incest. Throwing up your hands and saying, "meh, what can we do about it" certainly isn't an answer.

The good news is that the number of abortions has been dropping. About 225,000 fewer in 2014 than in 2008. Not sure if it's education or better access to birth control or something else but that's a great trend.

We like doing this in America with several issues.

Pro-choice and pro-life people want all. There should be some common sense exceptions: rape, incest, minor, and health of child or mother. The abortions should happen within the first term unless there are complications...BUT I can't see a change because no one budges on anything. Compromise is a dead art in this country.

Something people seem to forget -> "Pro-Life" means "Pro-Baby" and "Pro-Mother".

For now, Liberals can parse words and rationalize infanticide any way they choose. Ultimately, taking the life of a child will be judged by a higher authority. It is my hope that the same authority will also judge those who enable this horror.

Can you imagine the uproar from pro-choicers if people were mutilating puppies and selling off their body parts overseas?

You would go to prison for 5-10 years for harming defenseless puppies and mutilating them. A human not so much. That's the thinking I just can't get my head around. I mean we are talking about a human life! How is killing us with a vacuum cleaner legal but we protect animals with a fervor.

Because Liberalism is a form of mental illness.
