I don't eat out much but really like a good fish sandwich. Not the square kind either. I prefer Cod fish. I am looking for a chain that you think has good fish sandwiches. Thanks.

Aren't many of them worth writing home about. You might want to give the Chick-Fil-A version a shot.

Frisch's is really good whenever you get to an area with one.

How about Wendys? Any one tried theirs? We have been going to Cleveland alot that is why I asked for a chain that we could stop at.

We have one here in Winchester but have never tried theirs. Usually only there for breakfast when family is in town and they want to go out and eat.

Captain D's isn't bad if you like their regular fried fish. I really doubt that it's cod though. To be honest, it's hard to find a good fish sandwich at a chain restaurant but I'm sure you already know that. Here locally if I want a fish sandwich in a pinch Captain D's it is.

As far as chain restaurants, Arby's has a pretty good fish sandwich.

 

If you find yourself in Bardstown, go to Roby's Caddy Shack. Excellent cod sandwich.

My wife swears by Culvers...Long John's if it's fresh isn't too bad of a sandwich.

 

Arby's looks great but I've tried it twice and was disappointed both times.

Long John's used to have a sandwich with swiss and jalapeño and some type of sauce. Don't know if they still have it?

If your coming to Cleveland soon I can point you to some parish fish fries up here.

For me, none of the chains have that good of a cod sandwich. I'd suggest asking around in your area for the best fish fry during Lent.
