I've already been out to shovel twice to keep ahead of it. It's not too heavy, so sweeping is working better than shoveling right now. But, I've been out 2 times in an hour, and each time there was about 1/2". And we're not even into the worst of it yet. I'll keep giving it the old college try to try and stay ahead of it, but I fear it will be a losing battle.

I need a fence around the front yard and storm doors worse. :lol2: At least I have a snow shovel (an ergonomic one!)! Last year, when living with my sister on the prairie, I had to shovel with a garden spade. :lol2:

Nothing in Hebron right now. Buddy just called and he's driving back from Louisville right now and said it's coming down good.

It was late starting in Louisville, but it's really coming down now here in SW Jefferson County. I'm going to hopefully wait until the mail shows up, go through it, and then head home for the day. The roads are getting nasty in a hurry.

 

Also, I've mentioned that I live 1 block from the Merriweather public works station...I'll let y'all know when I see the parade of trucks coming and going.

I don't know when it started where I live in Owsley but I looked out at 7am and it was pouring. There was 5 inches when I walked my little dog about 40 minutes ago. I've got to try to keep up with it today and keep a path swept for him to have a clear area to do his business. I should have got a Great Dane instead of a Bichon, lol.

My little Buddy (Havanese) is wanting to love this snow, but he was having trouble with the 4" we got Wednesday. I'm trying to keep ahead of it too. And Levi, the shepherd mix wants to love it, but his old bones are hurting him. I may have to pick up poo off the sidewalk, but at least I can keep it swept and shoveled and it goes all the way to the back of the yard so they can have a place to go.

Look for that to start this afternoon. Remember this is just the start of this storm now may go through Sunday morning for some.

The light flurries here are coming down on about a 45 degree angle. Not yet windy, but the snow is not falling straight down.

By the way, Louisville folks, the salt trucks are streaming in and refilling. They're out there, so don't get mad that they're not doing anything. I see them coming and going, so I know they're doing what they can right now.
