Bengal Maniac Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 From a post on the "Bengals Fan" Forum on Twitter I have seen Bengal fans all over the place on the loss to the Steelers. I have heard whining and complaining, conspiracy theories, etc. and I have heard people say the Bengals lost it themselves. Here are a few things that should help some of you feel better. 1. Assistant coaches are on the field all the time when there is a potentially serious injury, numerous Bengal coaches were on the field when Gio was hurt. It happens every week. 2. A.J. Green clearly false started on his TD catch and it wasn't called.....could have been HUGE! 3. Burfict and several others completely left the field WITH THE BALL and it wasn't called. 4. If you have an opportunity, watch the replay and concentrate on Burfict. He spits on people, he stomps on players feet, he elbows people, he punches people, he twists legs and ankles......he probably should have been thrown out in the first quarter. 5. The Bengals got their share of favorable calls and non-calls. My take. Heck no, i don't feel better. It still comes down to Hill holding onto the ball. All the other garbage was whining, however, I feel no better. I still hate the Steelers!!
nees1212 Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 I've heard people talk about point 3. Is that really a penalty? It was a change of possession on an interception. The defender is allowed to keep the ball. They immediately left the playing field, thus no delay of game.
spindoc Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 I'm not following, how is any of this supposed to make a Bengal fan feel better? Or did I get lost in the sarcasm?
frankdracman23 Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 On #1 I don't believe the Bengals coaches were in the midst of 5 Steelers. On #2 there were about 5 false starts that were not called and they were on both teams. Also see the "great" TD catch that wasn't really a catch. On #3 they left the field and as mentioned they can retain the ball. It was a turnover so it was automatically reviewed and there was no play in progress when they ran into the tunnel. On #4 VB does do some of those things. So do other Bengals and Steelers. On #5 both teams had missed calls and calls against them that should not have been. The is called NFL officials.

Are you talking about the three players that went into the tunnel with the game ball? Players that spike the ball after a great play(not talking TD's) get a delay penalty. :ohbrother:
nees1212 Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 I'm not following, how is any of this supposed to make a Bengal fan feel better? Or did I get lost in the sarcasm? Unfortunately, there are a lot of people having trouble letting all of this go.
Voice of Reason Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Thank goodness you did not post a link to that song.
Bengal Maniac Posted January 21, 2016 Author Posted January 21, 2016 I'm not following, how is any of this supposed to make a Bengal fan feel better? Or did I get lost in the sarcasm? I guess that the game wasn't as unfair as some think. Just thought the person's post was interesting and that was their title.
spindoc Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 I guess that the game wasn't as unfair as some think. Just thought the person's post was interesting and that was their title. In all seriousness, had it ended in a Bengals win, you'd hear similar stuff out of the P'burgh crowd. It just goes hand in hand with a game like that one.
futurecoach Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Nothing will make me feel better about the lost. Even the Steelers losing last week doesn't make it better, it just stopped it from getting worst. I keep thinking about that last 90 seconds. In a matter of 3 plays we got the lead, then next play we get the interception looking like it may seal it, and then the very next play the fumble. Then obviuosly the penalties. It was just unbelievable especially the emotions that came with it from being so high then down so low. That game was a sloppy, nasty but GREAT football game to watch. It's the game you love seeing and makes winning that much more sweeter but makes losing that much harder! Ugh!
frankdracman23 Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Again, dancing on the field is unsportsman like conduct, and the bolded is not? They? Hill can do the Ickey Shuffle after he scores a TD and it is not a penalty. If he does it in the endzone with another player it is a penalty. If he goes to the sidelines and the entire offense does the Ickey Shuffle together it is not a penalty.
cowboy90 Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 As far as point 2 goes, that offsets the Bryant TD that the league said should not have been called a catch
