January 13, 201610 yr Wendy's $4 for 4 meal is my fast food go-to now. Not even McD's coke can save them anymore.
January 13, 201610 yr Still s good value as compared to others. I disagree. It was a value at $1. Now it is priced in the same range as a Wendy's Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger or Burger King Whooper Jr. Either of those burgers taste way better than McDonalds, if I can get them for the same price even .10 to .15 more....
January 13, 201610 yr Wendy's $4 for 4 meal is my fast food go-to now. Not even McD's coke can save them anymore. Burger King just came out with a 5 for $4. Bacon cheeseburger, nuggets, fries, coke, & a cookie.
January 13, 201610 yr Oddly enough, of what little fast food I eat, McDonald's is generally my go to. Breakfast: Egg White Delight. Lunch/Dinner: Grilled Chicken Southwest Salad. Is this not what everyone else eats? My theory has been that fast food chains try to keep their cost so low, to sell $1.50 burgers, more and more is cheaply processed; thus, the product is compromised.
January 13, 201610 yr Burger King just came out with a 5 for $4. Bacon cheeseburger, nuggets, fries, coke, & a cookie. Sounds healthy!
January 13, 201610 yr Burger King just came out with a 5 for $4. Bacon cheeseburger, nuggets, fries, coke, & a cookie. NO! closest fast food near me, Can't eat it. When the kids were younger they common line was "Daddy doesn't do McDonald's. I now eat it rarely. Except for their breakfast sandwiches.
January 13, 201610 yr KFC is a nice alternative. Has a "To Go" bucket for about $3 or $4. Yep. We do a family grilled chicken bucket and mashed potatoes (no gravy), for a decent price. Normally gets us 1.5 meals.
January 13, 201610 yr Yep. We do a family grilled chicken bucket and mashed potatoes (no gravy), for a decent price. Normally gets us 1.5 meals. They also have a $5 meal which includes a couple of chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, drink, biscuit, and a cookie. Solid meal/value.
January 13, 201610 yr Sign of the apocalypse. "Fast food" and "quality" being mentioned in the same breath.
January 13, 201610 yr I was at a conference last fall and the keynote speaker was a very well known travel writer. He addressed the travel pet peeves of the consumer. At the end of the address, he gave his email address in case any of us wanted to email him a response to his thoughts. It was an AOL email address. I knew then there was no changing his mind and just scratched out the email address in my notes. Hey now...my personal email address is still an aol one. Why should I have changed? I no longer use AOL for internet service, but I never found the need to get another email address. One is as good as the other, right?
January 13, 201610 yr Hey now...my personal email address is still an aol one. Why should I have changed? I no longer use AOL for internet service, but I never found the need to get another email address. One is as good as the other, right? Exactly. Rockmom's post had a wiff of email "snob":lol2:. I still have an AOL email as well, though I rarely use it anymore and go months without checking it. I use my work email for most everything and have for quite a while now, but if I needed to would not hesitate to use my AOL email.
January 14, 201610 yr Still s good value as compared to others. Not really when you consider they use lower-grade meat than Wendy's and some of the others.
January 14, 201610 yr Good Value Lee's Famous Recipe - 2 Slider Meal with/without a beverage. 2 good sized chicken tenders (original or spicy) on slider buns (tenders bigger than the bun) with mayo & pickle, and a choice of a side... ...(breaded potato wedges, mashed, coleslaw, potato salad, green beans, baked beans, or macaroni salad). $3.18 = $3 + tax - without beverage - (free water) or $3.71 = $3.50 + tax - w/ beverage
