January 13, 201610 yr You and me both. I would be very specific about what awful things would happen if those sailors weren't returned on their way in short order. And it wouldn't just be junk cars and bowling balls and pig entrails dropping on them in that case. A more extreme method than the G-Bomb would be deployed. Even Israel? What about the USS Liberty? Many who were on the USS Liberty reject the explanation by Israel.

January 13, 201610 yr The reason I brought up the USS Liberty when it was attacked by Israel is, if you do not make exceptions, then you would have somehow retaliated against the Israeli's correct? This even with Iran turned out well. We said that the boat had some trouble and drifted into Iranian waters, and the Iranians may have had the right to do what they did, then they quickly released the soldiers. If they would have held them a longer period of time I could see where this could go somewhere. And if they did hold them longer I would have wagged the "deal" in front of their faces.
January 13, 201610 yr The Liberty was a mistake in the 60's when Israel was at war with Arab nations, they acknowledged the mistake and paid millions of dollars to the Navy and victims for it.

January 13, 201610 yr Someone needs to explain why two patrol boats were sailing alone in the middle of the ocean. They shouldn't have been out that far, without a fleet or vessel.
