Raiders to San Antonio?

Featured Replies

What's going to be funny is watching the Rams and whichever other team moves to L.A. deal with past problems that resurface in about five years: an apathetic fan base, empty seats, lack of community support, etc. In other words, I'm not convinced L.A. will support one NFL team (despite its large population), much less two.

If it's like the Dodgers, the Hollywood celebrities won't get there until the 2nd quarter and leave after the start of the 4th quarter. Better schedule all night games. The NFL might interfere with beach time or Beverly Hills Rodeo Drive shopping.

I seriously don't see how people can be die-hard NFL fans with all this garbage. If the Vikings ever left Minnesota (and they won't now that they railroaded that stadium past the taxpayers), it'd be the last I ever purposefully saw of the NFL.

The only group of people more greedy than NFL owners are the guys who run FIFA...

You're not kidding. It's hard to enjoy sports sometimes when you think too much about it.

Rams originated in Cleveland, and Cardinals in Chicago.

That's why I said they have all relocated at least once...several others have relocated more than once.

Why does the amount of money someone is making off of something you enjoy make it any less enjoyable?

I'd much rather the sports I like to be wildly successful and profitable than go back to how it was when I was a kid and you had 3 NFL games on a week (2 on Sunday and MNF), Monday night and Saturday afternoon baseball, 1 NBA game of the week on Sunday after football season and then NBA Finals on tape delay and maybe a couple of college games on on Saturday afternoon.

When I was younger you had millionaire owners paying thousands to the players, now you have billionaire owners paying millions to the players. Neither had an impact on how much I enjoyed the games.

While not quite as extreme, I have rooted against my boyhood franchise - the Colts - for over 30 years.

I've felt a deep hatred for the Dallas Stars for about 20.

If you can't make money on hockey in Minnesota, you're a complete buffoon.

I've never been to Seattle, but if the Seahawks moved I think my fandom would take a major hit.

Someone really needs to get the Dolphins and Marlins out of Miami, talk about a city that doesn't deserve a pro team. Too bad they have updated their stadiums.

You can include Tampa Bay too.

Don't get me wrong. I like the Raiders in Oakland, the Chargers in San Diego, the Cardinals in St. Louis and Rams in LA.

Davis is unsure where the Raiders will play next season as their never renewed their lease in Oakland. Could possibly play in San Diego.

This is almost like the early days of professional football when teams moved yearly. Some teams even moved during the season.

Sounds like the new Davis threat didn't hold the same pressure that it would have if it had been his daddy.

Do the Raiders get serious with San Antonio now that LA is out?
