I have been reading on this some from articles I have seen on twitter. Here is one that in long but describes how we got to this point in Oregon. I have no idea if this is 100% facts but seems plausible. I had not heard of this stuff till lately and just trying to figure out why we have a protest, standoff, occupation or whatever you want to call it.

As we know from American history people will only be controlled and bullied for so long. When you mention on this site that there are people who will fight the authorities and die for what they believe in some think it's a joke.

Depends on what happens when they are asked to disperse.

I'm sure the Feds will be involved. The authorities have been very, very patient in their handling of recent protests, and I would expect them to handle this group with the same courtesy.
