A few things here. Some media are reporting that this is a "protest"? These people are on federal land, occupying a federal building, and are armed. They are saying that they plan to stay there for years, and are denying anyone from entering the area, as well as not only threatening to shoot anyone who disobeys them and comes onto the area that they have taken over, but they have also said that they will die if necessary if forced to leave.This is not a protest, this is an ARMED take over of federal property.

 

As far as how this got to this point. The father and son were illegally on federal property, and illegally burned over 100 acres of federal property, to cover the evidence that they were poaching on federal property. Federal law says that the burning of the federal property is a minimum sentence of 5 years, period. But, for some reason some court said that they only had to serve a fraction of that time. But now a higher court said that the lower court was wrong, that there the federal law states 5 years minimum, and that they must serve the full 5 years. It's that simple.

Who thinks these guys will give up? This is basically the same group that stood off the Burea of Land Management at the Bundy ranch. Craziest thing I ever saw. Watched it all on livestream. They were ready to go at it. If this is let go for a few days it will be like that ordeal, there will be alot more join. Difference between these guys and #blacklivesmatter is these guys will shoot back....or first.
