When you have time, what is your vision for America going forward, and how does Trump get us there?

 

What is my vision going forward if we stay on the path we are now or what is my vision for where America needs to be going?

 

In regards to the path we are on now, I think we would look more and more like Europe unfortunately with bloated spending, worse deficits than we already have, more of a nanny state where the government supposedly knows what is better for you than you know what is good for you, more regulations that in reality do not protect the consumer but instead protect the current companies and makes it more difficult for new competition and innovation to come about.

If you think Trump cant be "bought" cause he has a couple of bill in the bank then you dont understand politics, the human soul or Trump.

I'm just trying to envision any direction that people want America to move toward, where Trump is a good choice. And I think question is a fair one. I think it's one we need to ask ourselves as Americans. We have become a very polarized citizenship. And I'm not sure how the hell anyone thinks Trump will solve that particular item, amongst the host of other issues we face. Are we so polarized that we want to lose dignity, civility and move further away from bipartisanship to solve our issues? Are we so far down the rabbit hole we're ready to thrust aside the idealogy that the very first immigrants embedded into not only our culture, but our founding documents? Are we so far gone that the man with the most money is considered the best to lead the country?

 

I'm distressed, to be honest with you. I feel like our "instant" society is ready to jump off a cliff and hope the parachute opens, because they don't like the hard climb that is the other option.

 

I think distressed is how many of us felt/feel about Obama. This too shall pass.

My concern is Trump is the only Rep who will beat Clinton. I will take ANYBODY over her....even Sanders.

If the republican blue bloods block Trump from winning the nomination they will be cutting their own throats.

 

They need to let this play out, or the republican party will never be the same.

 

Trump has tapped into a lot of people who gave up on voting many years ago. They see him as a change to the status quo.

I do find it interesting that people are quick to say "I don't support Trump" but they will still cast a vote for him depending on who he is running against. That's supporting him is it not?

You will find a lot of "I'm not a Trump guy" types here and elsewhere who will pull the R lever without hesitation if he is the candidate. Wouldn't matter who the D candidate is.

 

Not saying the other side doesn't do it, but this is a Trump thread.

Rubio. Also, anybody but Hilary. She's even worse than Trump and that's scary enough.

 

Rubio will be our next president.

I like Rubio and Cruz both. I like Trump third. I also like the brashness of Trump to say what everyone else is thinking and are scared to. I will vote for whoever it is in the General election although I might flip to straight Trump based on he cannot be bought. I am almost at that point now.

I, too, was amazed that anyone believed he couldn't be bought. Incredibly naive. There is nothing Trump wouldn't sell for the right deal for himself.

I'm aghast that there are so many people that are seriously considering that man. I mean he's been entertaining and all but his act is growing old and is getting disturbing. He is bringing out the worst in people. It's very disturbing. Don't like Hillary? I get it. Vote for one of the other candidates besides Trump or vote for a third party candidate. I don't agree with a lot of Bush's politics but he is a decent, sensible, capable man. Trump has all but castrated Jeb and effectively ended his campaign. What are people thinking? I know it's just a minority of people that say Trump is their guy but it's still disturbing that a man like that is able to sway that many people. I've often wondered how in the hell a man like Hitler was able to brainwash so many to think that hate was the way to make a country great(AGAIN). Scary...
