Think it's the same thing as with Coors years back when it couldn't be purchased east of the Mississippi River. When I went to Denver I couldn't drink enough, now I loathe it.

The company that makes Kentucky Ale is putting in a brewery in Pikeville.

 

What do you guys think of Kentucky Ale's offerings? I saw they have one called Bourbon Barrel Ale, which is brewed normally and then soaked in a bourbon barrel for some time to give it that flavor. Is that considered a craft beer?

 

And what is an IPA?

Really like their Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale. As well as their Kentucky Old Fashioned Barrel Ale.

The black and tan is my favorite thing that Yuengling makes.

I am a big fan of Bourbon Barrel Ale.

My level of "Beer Snob" isn't at the highest of levels; I'd consider it to be low-mid range, but I love Yuengling. Always have.

 

...just a really solid, good tasting, affordable beer that doesn't leave the feeling like you've just eaten Thanksgiving dinner after a couple.

....Old Forrester's Backwoods Bastard Bourbon Barrel might be the next best thing to sliced bread.

I've seen that same tweet with varying states including Kentucky about 3 or 4 times now. Kentucky has always been a loser. Guess if we keep playing long enough were bound to win at some point.

 

Yuengling may be a bit overrated, but it will be nice to have it as an option.

I'm on the exact same page as you.

This announcement would have given me great excitement around 2010 or 2011, I just haven't really drank it much at all since then, even though its readily available in hour.

 

Their brewery in Pottsville, PA was pretty cool and unique to visit though.

 

I hope KY gets it, but idk if I'll really drink it more. I know plenty who will.
