Defense has to get off the field on third down.

Before the season I was wanting McCarron to be the starter. However Dalton proved me wrong and has been a different qb this year and now I wish he was still playing.

With that said someone said in the update thread they don't know if the Bengals could win a game with McCarron and I just ask why not? He basically made two bad throws and decisions today and one of them came after a penalty. Backup qbs get barely in reps in practice especially with the starters. So considering that and how he had never played a meaningful snap in the NFL, he didn't do to bad. He made some really good throws actually and still has one of the most talented group of skill guys in the league to throw to. So I see no reason at all why they shouldn't beat both the 49ers and Ravens with McCarron and the Broncos game they are playing another team using a backup. So it sucks because Dalton has been great, but I do think they can still win games without him. To much talent still on offense for a qb not to do well.

McCarron was 22 for 32 for 280 yards 2 tds and 2 interceptions and was getting pressured for most of the throws. So allow him to get all the reps in practice with the starters and also build a game plan around what he does well and they should be fine.

I said it in the update thread and I'll repeat it here. I used to be Greg Gumbel fan but he made one of the dumbest comments I think I have ever heard him say and I quote, "You can't really say that the Bengals losing 2 players, Dalton and Eifert, changed the complexion of the game". What??????? Didn't this happen in the 1st quarter on the Bengals 1st possession of the game down 7-0 inside their own 5 yard line?

All the Dalton haters and doubters have their wish. Marvin already said Dalton is out next week. Let's see what happens.

This was a game, in my opinion, that the Bengals could have made a statement that the AFC North is now their division. Kind of like the Steelers put out in the media a week or two ago. Just when you think, hey this could be........WHAM!! Reality settles in and Pittsburgh lets you know they are still the bad-rear of the division. Now with the injuries, who knows what happens the rest of the way. If the Bengals do finish out well, they'll probably be a three seed and will be seeing the black and gold AGAIN. Looks like a one and done again to me, hope I'm dead wrong.

Wow reading way to much into one game. Especially with the injuries the Bengals had during this game.

I admit I wanted this change before the season. However Dalton had been. A different qb this year, demeanor and all. So I definitely wish he was still starting. However I was very encouraged with what I saw from.McCarron in pre season and also saw many good things again today. With the talent he has to throw to, I think this offense will still be very good.

On defense, Bengals tried to cover and hoped the front four could get to Big Ben. Terrible decision! You cannot give him time and must get him on the ground. No team can cover those three receivers and Miller for very long.

I don't worry about our offense with A. J. as I am the defense.

I'm the last guy to say a game was fixed. Never even believed it was possible. If anyone disagrees with my take watch the game again with a mind frame that this game is rigged for someone to win big. I bet money(play on words) someone won big today with that score.

I admit I almost miss HB for that reason.

Sort of like the Steelets losing the best RB in the league in the last matchup

May be Coach, but I was hoping they could make a statement with the game today. I'll stand by my post though. Bengals three seed, play Steelers first round and Bengals lose again but I hope I'm wrong. I thought I heard on WLW radio this morning from some talking heads who cover NFL that this was a deep Bengals team.
