If Steelers get 6th seed, they would play the 3 seed in the first round of the playoffs. The 1 and 2 seeds get byes.

Right, but if Steelers win as a sixth seed they would get #1 seed the next week, right?

Not true in that scenario the Bengals still have to beat the Broncos. Even if the Bengals win next week and Broncos lose. If the Broncos beat the Bengals the following week, then the Broncos would have the head to head tie breaker over the Bengals. Next weeks games really don't mean much in terms of the 2 seed.

The one game the Bengals have to win to at least lock up a playoff spot and to guarantee they win the division is the Ravens game. The Steelers could win out in the regular season and the Bengals lose the next two. If the bengals beat the Ravens then the Bengals still clinch the division.

You're right, I wasn't thinking clearly when I posted that. Lots of scenarios play out in my head all at once and they get jumbled up every once in a while. Haha

Maybe Adam should start with his teammate who started it all in the pregame by crossing over to the opponent's side to mouth at Vince Williams then backed up like a weak little female dog when James got involved. But just sayin

But oh yeah the Bengals started it alright. The Steelers are the most classless team in the NFL and you know it. They started the game trying to take our players out and they continued it the whole game. They are dirty, they have always been dirty, and they always will be dirty.

Why does the NFL not have the ejection rule like college does? Its unfair how this play knocks Eifert out for the whole game, but Mike Mitchell gets to stay in the game? Its a joke. Guys like him don't deserve to be in the NFL.

Got outplayed? Just like you all got outplayed by Baltimore and KC without Ben? Whatever helps you sleep at night though. Mike Tomlin is about as classless as it gets. I have been hoping that the Steelers don't make the playoffs, because I thoroughly enjoy seeing the disdain on the faces of the Steeler faithful. But you know what, I want you all now. I want Andy back and I'm going to look forward to the hell thats going to rain down over that God-forsaken team of yours.

WOW Tell them how you really feel?

Unsung heroes of the game:

Pittsburgh O-line: As I joked for the entirety of the game in the update thread Ben had time to order beers and food while looking for his ideal receiver based on coverage.

H.Miller and A. Brown: These two just get good separation, know where to be in a zone to maximize catches and keep drives alive. Miller had a career day today!

Congrats to the Steelers on the W. Clearly the better team today. It was a must win game for them to stay alive and make the playoffs and they delivered. I liked what I saw in McCarron. The next two weeks will be very telling.

Go Bengals!!! :thumb:

I wish I could tell them how I really feel. But I don't think the mods would like that too well.

I guess all those years of beatdowns at the hands of the Steelers has left a little bitterness, huh?

No the Super Bowl you all stole from U.S. has left me bitter.
This was a game, in my opinion, that the Bengals could have made a statement that the AFC North is now their division. Kind of like the Steelers put out in the media a week or two ago. Just when you think, hey this could be........WHAM!! Reality settles in and Pittsburgh lets you know they are still the bad-rear of the division. Now with the injuries, who knows what happens the rest of the way. If the Bengals do finish out well, they'll probably be a three seed and will be seeing the black and gold AGAIN. Looks like a one and done again to me, hope I'm dead wrong.

This.

Just saw Bengals are 2-12 at home against Steelers since 2012. Didn't know it was that bad. That unacceptable!!!! Thanks Marvin!!!

Don't tell Grant. He thinks the Steelers are a Johnny come lately.
