The area with the highest population will produce the most basketball talent in many cases (simply numbers).

 

If you wanna make this interesting you should do D1 talent per population density. If this is the case I would think the mountains of EKY would win or be very close nonetheless. Just in the past two years you have Justin Johnson (WKU), Cameron Justice (Vandy), Evan Hall (IUPUI), Shane Hall (signed with Marshall), Kyle Gullett (SEMO), Braxton Beverly (Hargrove - will play D1), etc.

 

With low population in these area's I would like to see D1 talent per population density. Whoever wins in this measure is the area of the state that produces the best basketball talent in my opinion. Otherwise it's almost always gonna be the areas with the most people.

Tons of basketball talent for such a low population and this is just one of the three mountain regions.

Being from Louisville it'd be easy to say we have the most talent by pure numbers. But for my money, Hopkinsville by size produces the most talent consistently at this time.

Its EKY per capita. You cant count transfers out of state or out of country. Home grown per capita is EKY.

The third one I counted was Tom Boerwinkle from Millersburg Military Institute.

It may be a stretch to call him a 10th region player, but MMI most recently played in the 10th region, so that was the best I could do.
