Which part of the State produces the best basketball talent?

Featured Replies

It was less consolidation than restructuring if it happened as part of that. Westport closed because they had specifically opened Ballard in the early 70s to serve that area and made Westport a middle school. Same with Stuart. Thomas Jefferson is now also a middle school.

Thanks. The other one I was thinking of was Durrett. Male moved into that building after it closed, right?

Oh now this is a fun game.

Wes Unseld

Allan Houston

Does Rondo count? He didn't graduate from Eastern but isn't this his tenth season in the league?

Rondo wasn't included. I think the list was only graduates from Ky High Schools.

All 4 were from different schools. Same with the other regions. Both from different schools.

Louisville has even more guys when you think about the guys that were raised here and have gone on to big things at schools outside the city.

Charlie Tyra went to Atherton then UofL but I don't feel like his NBA career lasted that long.

Houston, Unseld and Griffith are correct.

The fourth is definitely a step down from them.

Rondo and Russell come to mind. Who else would be in that category?

Jeff Lamp from Ballard didn't make 10 years did he?

Jerry Eaves?

I'm struggling on this last one.

Felton Spencer.

3rd region -

Cliff Hagan

Rex Chapman
