Addonis Butcher from Meade is who you are thinking of. 15th region for both as charly Osborne was very good too. Todd may was drafted by the spurs. Jr vanhoose played in the nbdl.

 

Addonis played in the game wilt scored 100 pts in and later coached the pistons

Ratliff is a very cool story. He attended college at UK then was drafted into Vietnam. Served his country and was wounded then came back home (multiple purple hearts and bronze star). Went to Delta State where he holds several records there in basketball. Was given a tryout by the Hawks and signed to a two week contract with them. Never got past the practice squad then hung it up.

 

The Talent's played for the old Maytown teams many many years ago. They both went into the ABA and ABL for short periods from what I have found. Dont have a alot of information on them, but I do have they played professionally in my notebooks. This is something I will have to dig deeper on in at some of the local libraries in order to get specifics on (teams they played for, etc.).

I think so. I'd never heard of the guy Rez mentioned, but I can't think of any others.

 

Also, I don't see any record of Elrod playing in the NBA/ABA.

 

Boereinkle played for Chicago from 68-78. I think he was from Ohio and graduated from MMI. I don't know a lot about when MMI was in the KHSAA/10th region, but it is located in Bourbon Co and I know they played in the 40th district in the late 90s/early 2000s.

 

Really the 10th maybe should only count as having produced 2 pros, but I just included Borewinkle for simplicity.

Good info. I've mainly used Pro Basketball Reference, and I think it just lists people who have played in NBA games.

I only had they played professional in ABA/ABL, but wouldnt surprise me that they were drafted into the NBA. I will find this out for sure next time I go on a research binge. Good info!

Rondo should count his DNA is lville..he was an NBA talent if he graduated from Pluto.
